Was good to see you last week - I'll definitely be there for the meetup

Best I've felt for a couple of months, finally shaking off the chest infection, so my bloods seem to have leveled out.
Family's had a good Xmas, considering they've gotta put up with me.

Far too early to even comment on Darlow. He's hardly played for us.
    I'll judge over time.
Rob though has been excellent for us and for me, gets in our side ahead of Krul until he makes a mistake.

Darlow may have been dodgy yesterday but he was aided and abetted by some fairly sloppy play in front of him....the Tiote backpass and the Mdemba backpass were both fairly ****e and just where was the challenge on Fletcher for the goal?

No excuses, he should have saved it, you can argue that fletcher shouldnt have had a free header, but even if he was challenged, he would have still won the header, its irrelavent.

Darlow is 18 months younger than Krul, we arent talking about a 18-19 year old, if he cant make saves like that then there's no point paying him a wage. Whats the point in paying a player we really dont want to ever play.

We are all frustrated but the reason Darlow was playing is because the two keepers ahead of him in the pecking order were unavailable. Top keepers make mistakes (just look at Tim Howard yesterday) never mind third-rate keepers like Darlow.

Lets hope Elliott is fit for the next few games.

Im just of the opinion that he should have been more prepared and ready. I havent seen much of Darlow, but was quite excited when we signed him, but after yesterday that excitement has evaporated

Thread was tongue-in-cheek in relation to the' Krul v Elliot 'one last week but can't blame Darlow on his first game,Elliot may have got a nudge as he was just about to punch, who know's?As I said both games should have been wrapped up long before those goals.

Wow, Seriously? Is this is a troll thread?

Elliot has been absolutely solid and won us vital points with excellent saves. He can only really be blamed for one goal so far which is the one vs Everton.

Elliot might not be quite as good as Krul at his best in terms of shot stopping, but as an all round keeper he's proven himself just as solid if not more IMO.

    Shot stopping

    Krul 9/10
    Elliot 8/10

    Kicking/Distribution

    Krul 4/10
    Elliot 6/10

    Box control + Communication

    Krul 5/10
    Elliot 7/10

Apart from a bad punch vs Everton what has he done wrong?

The sliced kick and the goal weren't great but Darlow made 2 or 3 really good saves during the match and I'm a long way from writing the kid off after just one game. He must have been very nervous and frankly, as good as Elliott has played this season it has taken him literally a few seasons to get to that level. My biggest criticism of Darlow so far is his hair style to be honest.

I think Goalkeeper is an area we are very weak in.

Even when Krul was fit, he was in poor form this season.

Elliot is good for short-term cover, but we need a challenger for Krul, Darlow needs a run of games but he looks nervous which is about the worst thing a GK can be.

    Get Seamus and Harps back!

I like Eliot. He gets in ahead of Krul for me.

Someone just put the words "top keeper" and "Time Howard" in the same sentence <yikes>

@Tobes he's supporting your players even more so than you!
