Salah is performing at world class levels. £36m is relatively cheap in this market.

Robbo is proving to be a shrewd signing. A cheap but solid and reliable player, and with potential to improve.

Our transfers have been pretty much spot on since klopp has arrived. The benefits of having a unified scouting team and manager.

    Poll added.

Salah now worth 250-300 mil= 7x original fee

Robertson at 8mil is now worth about 40 = 5x original fee.

Got to admit - at the start of the season I was annoyed that we'd opted for a cheap player to fill in at left-back, but Andy Robertson has proven me wrong. He's exceeded expectations. Defensively he's solid and going forward, whilst not as good as Moreno, he stretches the opposition and allows Mane, Firmino and Salah to roam the box.

I think Robbo is better than Moreno going forward, more end product and not so much headless chicken

I agree, Robertson is better at just about everything than Moreno except for Spanish language ability. Moreno speaks better Spanish than Robertson.

You don't look at the passport to say a player is good or bad.

Only when ordering beers at the summer training camp on some Spanish beach. It's a priceless skill then.

    no its not.

you should shout vino garcon and say por favor in a really snotty way to get the best service in spain.

the Spanish love when a sun burnt chav from the uk mashes their language and french together.

if you click your fingers impatiently they add a bit of extra flavour even.

I don't know why Moreno has this reputation for being decent going forward.

Is it because he can't defend so people assume he must be good going forward?

He's terrible going forward; can't shoot, can't cross high or low, runs into trouble and rarely plays quick passes.

The only true assests he has is pace and determination.

(Not a pop at you LJ, just a general comment <ok>)

Can’t fsukt Robbo. Wasn’t a fan of his signing, not cos was half decent at hull but just didn’t think he’s be a big improvement in an area where we needed it.

Really proved me and few orhers wrong as has become a real solid full back. Seems really level headed as well. Love his celebration when setting up Salah with the cross, seemed to mean more to him than it did to Salah who scored!

And o top it of decent sense of humour ‘who wants a signed Robbo shirt? No one so here’s a Bobby firmino one’ <laugh>

first sumer for years we haven’t gone into saying LB is a key area for first team improvement.

Tbh I did pause after posting that comment and tried to think of the last time anything came of Moreno's assumed attacking ability. Unfortunately he's brainless and was lucky to even get as many chances as he did at LB.
