Attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed would be a much more concise definition. Almost every response you write on here is one of a condescending/patronising nature and it's very clear from reading your replies that you firmly believe yourself to be of higher intelligence/wit/class/stature than almost every other poster on here. I consider this to be folly and not the case, hence making you pretentious. I think that's clear enough...
