Its close between Ba, Cisse, Ben Arfa, Sessegnon and Johnson. You could make a case for leaving out any of them.

Ba, as an all round footballer, is light years ahead of Cisse.

I'd take Ba over Cisse in our line up.

Anyday mate, Ba is a cracking player, whereas Cisse, not scoring, is pointless.

Look at my lineup, it needs a finisher. As a finisher Cisse is light years ahead of Ba.

I dunno, Ba doesn't miss many, more that he was played out of position to acomodate Cisse.

Look, I'm happy with both. But we're in the Cup final, we get a chance on 90mins; I want Cisse to take it.

EDIT: wasn't it you who used to think Ba was ****e?

Was it last season or the one before when the Skunks had a match called off for the same reason?

Thanks everyone for putting Cisse down because it is now inevitable he will go on a scoring streak like after the "dodged a bullet" scenario in January <ok>

Those who are writing Cisse off are frankly pathetic and no doubt most of the posters on this board are shaking their heads with pity at some of the comments.

If we got Djibril back we could have a really twatty "our Cisse is better than your Cisse thread". Eeeeh, the depths we could plumb....

Thing is - we're not writing him off - just that he is your Darren Bent - i.e. when he's not scoring he doesn't do much else and therefore has no point - fantastic finisher and able to get in the right place at the right time but without that he brings very little to the table

and that is a very fair comment and one I agree with. It's the mrons saying he's a one season wonder after 2 games that are to be laughed at, if we make him the chances he'll get the goals, he's a natural finisher.

All cisse needs is a goal to get going. We all know when his eye is in he can score from anywhere. Would never leve him out when fit.

Cisse has a fantastic eye for goal but contributes little else. Ba is an all round striker but cant play on the wing.

its a nice problem to habe 2 x 15 goal strikers to argue over.

Thing is, if one of them does fail, who is the next choice for your lot? Amadonkey? He only plays for 2 games a season

I'm not sure which Cisse people watched last season. Sure he hasn't hit the heights yet and looks off the pace but there are some very obvious reasons.

There is a hell of a lot more to his games than just goals. His workrate last season was unbelieveable. His willingness to track back and ability to play wide aswell as through the middle stepped the team up another level. Ba has worked a lot hrader this season than he did last, and looks in better form. But last season Cisse put him to shame in terms of workrate and closing down the opposition.

Its amusing to listen to people doubt him. He's had a slow start and is clearly behind but once a few goals go in, his fitness improves with fuel in the body, he'll be unstoppable. He scores when wants.

Actually reading the last couple of pages of this thread is amusing. Some very obvious conclusions to be drawn.

Newcastle fans in general dislike O'Neill and think he is a jumped up little tart who loves to throw his toys out of the pram. They think Pardew is just fine.

Sunderland fans think Pardew is a horrible slimy cockney. They think O'Neill is just fine.

    Groundbreaking stuff!
