I would be pleased if we signed Dyer. We'd have some pace down the wings then if we had him and Stewart. Agree we need a big old fashioned centre foward to help hold the ball up, don't know about Howard though. How old is he now, seems to have been around for ages. Adding to list of players coming in, i think Pearson will go for the German keeper we had on trial as back up. Can't remember his name though.

Howard is 34 but he hasnt really lost any pace or sharpness because he never had any in the first place. Big Steve always give 100% makes a nuisance of himself and when ever we need him most he always delivers. But he isnt Sven type of player. We will be chasing the Big name signings instead of players who will just do the job. Something you need to get out of this league

 

Would you be suprised if you lot signed Owen this summer? With him out of contract and you lot throwing money at big names? Would be pretty scary if you had the Yak and Owen up top.

 

We are being linked with Owen, Heskey and now Yak has said he wants to stay even with us in the championship. If we could sign Owen and keep him fit he would score for fun in this league, Derby want him but with us having more money and Sven i think we would be more likely then them. I think both us and you will be near the top of the table next season.

 

i agree with this, pace is the first thing to go but if you made a career out of not really having any you should be ok. howard wouldn't be my first choice for a striker who offers something a little bit different but if we were to go for him, i wouldn't be too disappointed either.

Dyer hasnt had a run in the team in a long time. Vassell, Kamara and Gallagher are all ahead of Dyer in the pecking order

Dyer was a trial with HCFC. I recall seeing him play v. N.Ferriby in a pre season kick about. Brown didn't fancy him and he went elsewhere. A bit like Thomas....now at WBA......Dooahhhhhh

 

According to Sports reports on Radio Blunderside Joe Dudgeon has had his medical and transfer almost done.
Will be confirmed Monday.

 

I think Duffen's Briefs has got his timing wrong, he was on trial when Parkinson was here. He played him at left back btw:
