Hopefully I don’t have to choose to say hot or not as I think it’s self explanatory Heidi Klum at 48 years young
I hear this Olympics has been the hottest ever But I found the TV coverage not very hot at all. Couldn't get away from it on the BBC Glad that's done. Now on with the footy
HOT ... ABBA in the 70's NOT ... ABBA in their 70's money money money... Methinks they have met their Waterloo. Why all this revival nonsense? We'll have holographic Beatles next
Agree Lardi, but there will no doubt be tens of thousands, probably hundreds of thousands of Abba fans wanting tickets and buying the album. And lets be honest, how many of us won't want to sneakily listen to the new songs, even though we won't admit to it ? Which I'm not, by the way
Not me! loathed them in the '70's and I expect I'll find them equally dire now. There are a few bands that if they come on the radio will make me involuntarilly change station - Abba are one.
You probably enjoyed the 'Not the 9 O'Clock News' spoof ABBA song then Ken... "On the beaches we go swimming in the nude, oh how I wish now and then that we could sing something rude..."
I'm veering off the Abba topic here, although maybe I'll just nominate Not The Nine O'Clock News as still hot......
Hi I have kept a low profile for a while. Business is breaking even but habits have changed and people have got used to drinking at home. I am looking seriously at redeveloping the land for flats. I have been down with Covid for several weeks and one long term effect is that it's painful and tiring to talk, I have no breath or energy. But tonight I am going back on the radio, see if I can get through it as it will be a morale boost.
Good luck, PL. One thing which has emerged about recovery from Covid is that patience is required, overdoing it will set you back, although this refers to physical exertion I believe.
Hope you recover fully soon mate , as regards the flats make sure you look into this properly, a friend of mine undertook a similar venture and it nearly ruined him both health wise and financially- there’s lots of hidden costs etc
Absolutely right. On Thursday I went to Booker. My manager told me to take a friend - I was sure I could handle it myself but she persuaded me. When we got there I was determined to do as much as I could. I lifted one box onto the troilley, nearly passed out and handed over to my friend. It's going to be a long road back.
Thanks very much for the good wishes. I have a planner looking at this for me. My idea is to get planning approved and then sell the land with planning permission in place. Paying for the development would potentially bring a larger income but, as you say, it could also bring disaster.
blimey, really sorry to hear about your illness PL, and the hit to your business. Take things as easy as you can...
