i really don't think that, but it baffles me that stories like that make the press. it's in today's hdm. there was one recently about one of our players - jakupovic, i think - joining villa and it just seemed ridiculous.

true, but liverpool is now 27 years, spurs 56, and i don't count leeds. man utd still in single figures, so a different scale.

elmo does better when not asked to be fullback. if dave's fit next season, elmo can clear off up the wing and leave the defending to those who can. there was a suggestion herrnandez might be heading for a massive payday in china.

I always include Leeds in anything that is derogatory about them.

As much as I like Harry I think his limited pace and mobility might be exposed if he finds himself in a side which wants to play quick football, like Tottenham.

It didn't stop Dawson playing and captaining them.

Spurs were a different team then though.

I genuinely resorted to pointing at one point
Barman was very chatty and friendly but there was no way to decipher what the noises he was making meant

You think the Glasgow's bad, up in the North East Fraserburgh/Peterhead where the fisherman are you will hardly understand a word they say, they speak half English of sorts and half Gaelic, it took me a year to even understand half of what they were say.

Yes, but we have won the PL as many times as they have. And played in it more recently. And been in a Cup Final more recently. Played in Europe more recently. Sometimes it is a whole three or four minutes before I mention these things to any Hull or East Yorkshire ****es that I encounter.

2.5 years as a teenager living on the Mull of Kintyre at Macrihanish. Talk there, instantly "English". Usually with some form of insult after it.

Moved back to civilization, took me 3 months to lose my broad western isles accent so the lad from Edinburgh who ended up my best mate could ****ing understand me.

    First convo:

    Where you from?
    AhmfaeUll
    Erm...what?
    Ahm fae Ull
    Sorry...can you talk slower...
    Aaahhhmmmm faaeeeee Ullllll
    Nope
    <writes it down>
    ****ing hell, you're English?

Elmo days as a decent winger are about three seasons past now.
