This "white or blue" away kit thing wont go away.

The official line is that the club had no choice as our blue away kit would clash with the predominantly black of the Bournemouth strip so it was an FA thing.

Funny that - here's a photo from the Bournemouth/Ipswich clash just 3 weeks ago.................

Yep, thought the same Sparks and we could have played in white shorts to further differentiate.

I have tried to avoid overt criticism of Tan as he kept us alive and financed ongoing development (accepting we would be in the sh!t if he withdrew support) however for us to play in white is a downright insult to all fans, even those like me who have kept our counsel as far as Tan is concerned.

That excuse for playing in white is so poor and runs totally roughshod over the feelings of all City fans. It is not only waving two fingers of each hand at us, it is taking off shoes and socks and making v signs with his toes as well.

I really don't know what is the way forward. I will continue to support the team but if success on the pitch cannot be retrieved then I will seriously reconsider what I do about my st next season (as will many others) - with the end of the 5 year promise there will inevitably be a hike in st prices.

If there was enthusiasm and the signs of improvement from the team I might be persuaded but I can see no hope of that at present. At the risk of labouring the point from other threads Slade has got to dump the 10 no hopers and get in several players who are desperate to succeed and with the energy, confidence and drive that is needed to lift the fans' spirits.

In 1959 we were promoted to the first division, beating Aston Villa at Ninian Park in a white kit. Never found out why that was....need to ask an old bugger....Sparkey! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Honestly though this is not the issue.

As Whoops mentions on the other thread shirts are a side issue, red, blue, white none of that disguises the fact Slade sent us out 4-4-2 with the same 11 who were so inept against Rotherham and totally outplayed, to a much better side away from home. BIG SURPRISE we got stuffed as just about every poster on this site predicted if we didn't shore up the midfield.

You have to wonder (and I hate this type of conspiracy s**t) if Tan is demanding 2 strikers every game. Surely anyone with any football knowledge would have changed it by now? If he isn't being controlled by Tan then Slade really is the lower league dinosaur we were afraid he might be before he was appointed and a total write off.

Sorry Stevo - this decision about the kit colour choice for the game is an issue - don't cloud it with the total ineptitude of the clueless Slade issue.

I'm pretty sure Slade din't chose the white strip at Bournemouth - why should he?
