Don't put yourself down, nobody's knocking you. The whole idea of a forum is to let everybody air their opinions.

That's one thing that everybody is entitled to. <ok>

Anyone who sees anything positive in Joey going or anyone else is, I'm afraid, succumbing to the very human malaise of preferring hope over expectation.

    Trust me. We're in trouble.

I'm a big fan of Joey, both on and off the field. He'll be a bigger miss than some people seem to think. I just hope the guys can keep their game together enough to get over the first few games without him and keep us in touch with the pack.

When ever has Newcastle been stable. Just like the country we had a boom time with Shepherd spending money on Marcelino, Boumsong, Bramble, Luque, now unfortunately now comes a time we have to tighten our belts.

We cant spend 80k a week on players and are stuck in a catch 22. Do we spend loads of money and fail or do we cut costs live within our means and survive as a club.

Unless any of you know a rich arab or a oil baron we are stuck with Ashley. I know its **** but we have a club and a team that is gelling and I will support them the bast I can. Ill listen to matches, watch the matches cheer when we win, be upset if we lose. But deep down ill be happy we arent going the way Pompey was and the way Plymouth was till 5pm not knowing if they have a club to follow.

I hate Ashley if I saw him id throw something at him heavy and hard. But hes a business man who needs to sack Lambarse and hire someone who knows about football. Pardew needs to grow a pair and tell him what he thinks if he hasnt already.

On Barton he says his hands were tied no they werent if he wanted to he could have agreed a deal to stay till the end then left but no he chose to jump ship and leave us FANS in the ****. Luckily we have Cabaye and hopefully Gosling to cover but Barton is not completely innocent in this.

Exactly this, not a fan of Ashley but this big money Premier League boom will crash eventually, just look at what has happened with banks and the Worldwide recession.

And that would have worked if Del hadn't posted the letter of acceptance to the Three Wise Men of the East.

Wrong Del unfortunately. At least if it had been the other one we'd have had the occasional laugh.

To be fair he'd be a better football director, once he stopped trying to sell Coloccini down the market.

**** me, I can't believe that i'm actually going to say this...

It is hurting me inside. But over the past few months i've read SO much **** that I don't agree with; so much **** about conspiracy theories - "Ashley is trying to ruin the club"; so many negatives about Ashley's regime, especially by people who refuse to admit that we are in a *much* better financial situation than we have been in my lifetime (since Hall and FFS, if you're interested).

So here we go. I've said before that i'm not his biggest fan. And I KNOW that he has made terrible mistakes; treated our heros poorly; made mistakes with Wise et al.; he could do with replacing Llambias with Mort again; he could do so much better than he has. But Ashley is doing something good. He is putting out team into a stable financial situation. And under his ownership we have lost some good players, important players. But we are replacing them with good players that fit into a sustainable financial system - and I don't care who you are, you have to know this - football is more than a sport, it is a business. If NUFC don't survive as a business, we don't survive as a football team.

And do you know what. If some of you are so ****ing blind to realise it. THIS IS A GOOD THING. Not everything he has done is terrible.

I'm going to stand up right now and say,

    I'm backing Ashley.

There, i've said it. And some of you will forever more hate me for it. But what do I care? I still support the team every bit as much as you do. I still sing at the games, and when I can't make them I watch every minute I can on the TV. I'm happy when we win, and i'm gutted when we lose. And this a internet forum, so you know. What the **** do I care about what you say about me for saying what i''ve just said.
