Can this be an end to it now? http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2741550,00.html? All you Ipswich fans, try and find something more important to hit us with!
So the issue of your club threatening to prosecute one of its own fans isn't important! Admit it your club got it wrong
If you read the article, David McNally says they have taken on board complaints from fans and agrees that they went in heavy handed and have acknowledged that fact to the Browns and apologised for it! Why is that so difficult to understand? You're just so disappointed to be so far behind us in the standings that you latch onto anything that you think gives you the upper hand! It's a small story, already dealt with! Move on!
I'd have thought that a 17 year old lad being woken at stupid o' clock by plod issuing threats of possible "hacking" charges were fairly important, if only to the kid and his family! Most of the posters on this thread said as much, with one or two exceptions...I'd have been seriously pissed off if my club had behaved in such a manner! Good to see that common sense has prevailed, although it should never have got to this!
As you have highlighted "if only to the kid and his family", I'm assuming that you mean that as only a few people may have been distressed by this that it doesn't really matter?
I mean that in the scheme of things, it's not that big a deal, no matter what Binners would have us believe to suit their agenda.
Classic, too much daytime tv? claiming on your PPI to get back at "the man" as well. "Have you been injured in an accident at work or on the road?"
So your club finally see's sense does the right thing...and you still have a problem? Or are you just pissed of that there will be no execution on Norwich Marketplace? You mugged yourself off tonight on this thread, live with it...
Don't be ridiculous, executions are held on Castle Hill.... You can buy cheap batteries on Norwich Market Place though.
lol I stand by everything I've said and how the club acted. I find it most amusing an Ipswich fan would lecture me, as a norwich fan, that my club isn't run well. I'm pretty sure Norwich city takings aren't going to be found in any gansters jags anytime soon.
Haha, just saw that you bugger. She was apparently naked under that cat suit in her latest movie. Another one for the **** bank methinks........
Ahhhhh, common sense prevails...shouldn't have gone this far, but at least it gave Ipswich fans something to do for an evening...
Re-read the thread, carefully read everything you said...carefully read about how NCFC resolved the matter... Not one of your best threads, is it? Goodnight, mate!
I don't blame the club going in hard. I would imagine a there's a bit of pressure on McNally and the Club when it comes to the fine print where sponsors and kit deals are concerned especially at launch time. In hindsight now though, glad it's resolved amicably face-to-face. Also impressed that the club have acknowledged that they went in a bit heavily. No harm done and i'm sure no one regrets this more than the kid himself.
personally i think there is an element of fault with both the kid and the club, but mainly with the third party for not securing the data. the kid meant no harm by it and therefore, as it wasn't a serious breach for the club to deal with, the heavy-handed tactics were way over the top. having said that, i'm with beefy on this that its somewhat pleasing that our club has a backbone and takes **** from nobody these days - in the past they'd just shrug their shoulders at it but now they are very pro-active in making the club bigger and better through every avenue possible. they got it wrong this time, although they were also right to investigate, but they have made an apology based on supporter views - at least the club listen to its fans. not sure ipswich fans can say the same about their own club...
