[h=1]Celtic goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska attacked in street[/h]Celtic goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska has been assaulted in the street while on a night out in Glasgow.Zaluska, 32, was believed to have suffered a head injury after the attack in the early hours of Monday. Police would not confirm reports that another Scottish Premiership player was involved in the incident in Ashton Lane in the west end of the city. Officers said they had launched an investigation and were examining CCTV for evidence.


A statement said: "Police Scotland are investigating a report of an alleged assault on a 32-year-old male in Ashton Lane in the early hours of Monday. "Police inquiries are ongoing, including the monitoring of CCTV." Celtic were unavailable for comment.

The Polish goalkeeper, who is the club's second-choice keeper, signed for Celtic from Dundee United in 2009.

Celtic goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska was attacked on the streets of Glasgow by a fellow professional, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Police were called to the scene in the early hours of Monday morning near Ashton Lane, where former Celtic manager Neil Lennon was bottled by sectarian thugs in 2008. Zaluska was attacked while walking towards a taxi during an evening out with his partner, and while it's unclear how serious his injuries are, he is known to have sustained a head injury and loss of blood. Another two footballers who were present have also been questioned by police.

CELTIC goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska has allegedly been attacked by another Scottish Premiership footballer, according to reports.


The 32-year old was said to be on a night out with his girlfriend when the incident took place in Ashton Lane in the west end of Glasgow. The couple were said to be waiting for a taxi when the player, whose identity has not been disclosed for legal reasons, approached them. Two other Scottish Premiership footballers were in attendance and have been spoken to by Police.

Dundee United have launched an investigation into the conduct of two of their players. The Tannadice outfit, however, did not reveal the players' identities or the reason for the probe. "Dundee United has commenced an internal investigation into the conduct of two of its players following information received by the club," a statement on the United website read. "The club will make no further comment at this stage."

wtf? He used to play for us, what's wrong with him? If the stories are true he's the worst of the two as he was supposedly the one who punched Zaluska while he was on the deck. ****ing scumbags
