I only picked Murray for his goalscoring record...30 goals this season, you cant ignore that...although I didnt know he was injured
If we get Davies, Mannone, Bridcutt, Neville and Austin plus a couple of loans from Utd (Keane?) or Chelsea we have a good squad. Imo
Lots of people, because he is class. We had Stephen Hunt last time who everyone told us was a ****, and King but then he was too much of a ****.
King was too much of a ****, but Deeney isn't? He got ten months for ABH, after kicking a bloke in the head until he was unconscious, he's definitely too much of a ****.
Would Darren Bent be worth a punt? Scored goals everywhere he has been and looks set to leave Villa. The only thing I dislike is despite his goals he always seems to be involved in teams that do worse then expected, although if he scored 15 league goals I'm fairly sure City would stay up.
Given that a Burnley pass holder was pimping him out, hoping someone would sign him, I'm beginning to have my doubts
Rhodes is on more than any club will want to pay in wages for him. As for Austin he would be well within Hull Citys budget. Last year of contract so a transfer fee of around £4m would be all that Burnley could get and wages of around £20k a week would be a massive jump from what Burnley are paying him at the moment. Blackburn have to vastly reduce there wage bill this summer. So expect a fire sale for sure. Under the new FFP rules the FL have brought in no owners can bank roll the clubs anymore. Blackburn simply wont have much outside income apart from the 2nd lot of PL parachute payment due in August.
Why does everyone think we'd sign Austin for around 4 million and he'd be a snippet at that price? We probably won't spend £4 million on any one player, never mind one that's totally unproven at premiership level and has been firing blanks for the last half a season. Due to him being in his last year it would be £2 million tops and I wouldn't want to pay any more for him. If we could get Rhodes for that price and lower wages, he could well be an exception, but I still think the chances of him being a hull city player by 9/1/13 are somewhere in close proximity to 0%.
9/1/13? soccer?? I thought you were from Leicester, didn't know you were a septic. Have a nice day y'all
FAST FORWARD ALMOST A YEAR Looking to the summer of 2014 and the Free Agents List "that will be" SB could well pick up some real bargains. With rumours of Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood being toast come June Our chances of landing Jake Livermore will have improved vastly. TS had said that he wanted Livermore back @ Spurs. It will be interesting to see just how much SB gets to spend this summer. The europa league could also be a factor if Hull City make it.
Isn't Kone at Everton (or did I misread your post) about Wigan and Bridcutt at Sunderland. ooops, didn't realise it was a thread from 'ages ago' . Should have read first LOL .
