I also would normally have put Richards high up on my list, as i think hes a cracking player and is definitely England material, but unfortunately i don't think he's going to get a look in whatsoever at Man City, therefore will be very hard to take with no game time (he needs to move to another team to save his career) Although if fit, i would take Carroll over Lambert

Next summer has got to be used as a stepping stone towards Euro 2016, that means that players like Carrick & Lescott need to make way for younger guys to get a feel for what a competition like this is all about. I know the question will be is why haven't i mentioned Gerrard and Lampard because they are older, but these guys have been mainstays in the squad so are somebody that the younger ones can turn to for advice but more importantly has been proven to be able to provide that something special when need. Carrick for me is always just a squad player, why not give a younger player the chance.
