Everyone seems to (rightly) be worrying about who DM might be able to bring in to get us out of thisenormous hole the current squad is furiously digging for us. There seem to be lots of voices saying thesquad isn't good enough. So I started thinking.....Looking ahead, with the inevitable clearout that must come at the end of the season,whichever League we are in, who is worth keeping?When I thought about it here was my list (those GOOD ENOUGH to be first time squad players and let's assumefor now that it is in the Championship!).JamesFoster (haven't seen him 'in the flesh' but he sounds OK)FontaineWilson (maybe)SkuseCissePearsonElliottAdomahPitmanBolasie (with consistency)Am I being too generous? Because I then realised that most of them are playing now and we're losing every week so either DM is doing something wrong or some of these aren't up to it - so who are they? I think DM is a switched onguy and I don't want to blame him myself. However I can't shake this feeling that all of the above SHOULD be good enough.Is it that the mix isn't right, we can't play the way DM wants us to, the confidence is gone? All of the above? Who knows.What do you think about the individual players and who is up to scratch?
i would keep gerken edwards skuse fontaine nyatnaga foster wilson bolasie adomah elliott reid kilkenny cisse pitman that is it, all the other youngsters i cant see breaking into the first team bar reid and edwards and then we need another 7 player a new goalkeeper 3 new defenders 2 midifders (one being a CAM) 2 strikers one young gem and another one who can step straight in with pitman
Foster,Fontaine,Skuse,Adomah,Elliot,cisse,Wilson,Bolasie. I would keep pitman,but DM does not seem to rate him or stead sadly. The rest can all be put to market.
I for one said that we needed to keep our best players what ever it took to stay in this division..................But I got slated for it... Many fans let it be known without a fight that Maynard should get stick just so he could better his career.. maybe with support he would have stayed at least till the end of the season. 1.8m might have helped us to stay in the championship.......we shall see.
Sorry massive. Never posted before (you won't be surprised to hear). It was nicely spaced when I drafted it - obviously made a few rookie errors (like posting in general chat). I feel suitably embarrassed and will go back to do some homework before posting again!
Adomah Cisse Jury's out on Foster at the moment Bolasie bit wild at the moment but could be as good as Adomah Maybe's Pitman Skuse (love his commitment and versatility) Thats it but if I could I would keep James to seek out and train his successors
