Apparently it is starting to unravel very quickly at the Rovers ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18005433

Fire sale anybody. Report indicates that they are at imminent risk of administration or being so constrained in their cash flows that they are going to have to slash wages or jettison players.

Hennesey?? No chance. I'd take Robinson though. Superb keeper, and a great professional. If Vorm does go, Robinson will probably cost a quarter of Vorm's transfer fee. A good deal, in my eyes.

Foreign owners again, who have not a clue about football, or running a club! Shame this, but I hope that Yakubu wants to stay in the Prem, could be a good target for us!...............<cheers>

fair play to brendan he has acknowledged that we will have to strengthen for next season and said the only disappointment was in the final third of the game. we need goals for next season to have any chance of staying up. he had a long chat with sir alex after the match with united and learned a few tips about survival in the second season.....brendan is off to observe the spanish national team for 4 days so i should imagine he will be looking for players while there which is good news......the main thing im happy with though is he has come out and said we were poor in the final third and he has to strengthen that area for next season.......<ok>

I think he recognizes and understands a lot more than he lets on during pre/post game interviews. The post-game interviews I think are mostly for the players benefit (I can't understand how we can be so fantastic week in and week out and not be top of the table). I think he's under no delusion as to the quality of the squad, it's strengths and difficiencies. I wouldn't be surprised to see many new faces come August and some old ones no longer around. He can't be happy with the tail off at the end of the season; if it had happened any earlier we'd have been at risk of being demoted.

never a truer word spoken. like he said its unacceptable not to score a goal in nearly half of our games and he cant believe how we survived with stats like that......says a lot that and i agree there will be a new approach with new players up front next season...

It's quite simple really out of those games we didn't score we still gained points as the other team didn't either in 6 games, so almost half those games. We are a mid table team we shut out the opposition 14 times I believe, it's not just scoring it's the defence as well.
