Closest I've seen was Ryan Giggs.

Apparently she couldn't handle his fame, but rarely had to put her hand in her purse to get a drink cos of who she was.

He's from Manchester, he's just another discarded youth product that's gone on to make it elsewhere. He was training with the biggest club in the country, aged 7 if I've done my maths right, that's not coming out of nowhere.

I think past generation's youth, learned alot about becoming men in their early years and learning how to be a tough, all-weather sportsman. It's not to say that none of them understand it now, but less will, certainly, Sterling is living proof, he's made of **** in big games.

Just saying that he'd be one of the very top players around today, were he here now. Back in his day, he could expect a good kicking and he still delivered. Fart on Ronaldo and he's down like a sack of spuds...

What are you a ****ing Shrink?

The 'problem' is, people are too ****ing preoccupied focussing on what he could have been rather than what he was. The BEST.

Yeah, but still hits the deck the minute his make-up gets smudged. Never said he wasn't a great player...

Best would hit the deck today. No players stay on their feet today.

Franny Lee was dropping back in Best's day. It's always happened, but the fact remains that he (Best) was a hell of a player. He had to be to survive in that era, as he wasn't big.

I bet that it was :emoticon-0105-wink: . . . . all that they were interested in was the size of his wallet :emoticon-0101-sadsm

. . . . and the ego trip that they wanted to be a passenger on, of course

The nearest Brit who got anywhere near Best in footballing ability was Matt LeTissier. Different style but still tremendous control when in possession.

George was asked by Michael Parkinson what was the closest to a big game that he had sex and George replied "Half Time"! What a bloke!
