The swans will allways be my number one club as they are my home team, and hardly ever a dull moment over the many years following them. If i had to pick a second it would be Neath because of trundle Co. and who knows in a few years it could be a team of ex swans players ! win win two lots of swans eh!
Anyone attending the liberty in the home ends, with any othr shirt other than a swans shirt. should be politely led from the ground and band for F**KING LIFE. If they want to support any of these teams fine but dont do it from the comfort of the east, west and south stands. That is for true swansea fans.
I think you'll find they won't be allowed in. And all the better for it. I remember when Wales played England at the Millennium Stadium in 2005 and loads of Wales fans must have sold their tickets to England fans. At the turnstiles however, there was quite the commotion when it was like a scene from the Life of Brian. "Wales shirt, in you come. Wales shirt, in you come. England shirt, off you go!" I think people will need to be pretty mindful of that when they turn up in their bestest ever 'been a fan all my life' signed Torres (ouch!) shirt for the Swansea V Liverpool game, only to find the Stewards outside are sayin' "Piss off and dress properly for a Swans game!"
the stewards are grumpy old mooses at the liberty! That head Steward with the mustach gets on my nerves big time. Always stops me and is never up for any banter or anything like that. He also got in my shot when the sky sports cameras were interviewing Monk and Tate!
Two great posts there, one from ChrisOrmie defining the diference between a Fan and Supporter. I agree 100% on that. I'm a bit of a Liverpool fan, I like Liverpool Football club but I am a Swansea Supporter. I Support Swansea and I love Swansea! There is a diference in the two. An important diference I think. The second great post was from Rhys where he looked into how people from this area get into supporting other teams and it's a valid and a very true observation I think. Also the suggestion you made Rhys that someday maybe children from all over will support us because of a Sinclair hatrick against Liverpool makes me smile everytime I think of it!!!
Trundles left foot is correct. Anyone one "supporting" an away team in the home end at the Liberty is likely to get a ... lets just say a warm reception. I remember a few seasons ago there was nearly a riot in the East Stand because someone suspected there was a Forest fan there. Any non Swans fans thinking they are coming to the Liberty to support the away team is in for a rude awakening.
