I think he always looks like that. It's his resting dickhead face.

He also wears whatever his mummy puts him in, so you never know.

I don't live in the UK anymore and don't intend to return, so I won't be voting because even though I can legally, I don't think it's right for me to do so.

That said, I've never believed in voting for a party. Vote for an individual. Your vote goes to an MP not a party. Look at the individual in your local race. The best local candidate should be voted for. Party be damned. I've always hated political parties.

Someone came up with the idea that we should vote for a set of costed policies rather than parties and then vote for how to pay for those polices

Should I be using someone else's opinion to judge people by, then? Pretty sure we all use our own.

I haven't said that people should be treated like ****. I've indicated that I think that current Tory voters are ****s.
That's not advocating any sort of action or saying that they should be treated differently.

This isn't about protecting jobs, workforces or corporations and I don't think that anyone seriously believes that it is.
Corbyn's policies might have a slight negative affect on some businesses, but so would May's.
Believing that either makes sacrificing our public services worthwhile is rather ****y, in my opinion.
The Tory policies in general tend to be. If people want that, then that's up to them. That's their choice.
I'm also free to think that they're a **** for doing so, though.

Freeing up money for the richest in society at the cost of the mentally ill, the disabled, the unemployed and the sick is abhorrent, to me.
Doing so while pretending that it's for the benefit of the country, which couldn't be further from the truth, is disgusting.
Austerity clearly hasn't worked financially and it's also killing people in a variety of ways.
Feel free to vote for more of it, but don't be offended by my opinion of that vote.

My suggestion about it being your opinion, was that it's not based on empirical evidence, is it? It's based on what you've chosen to believe. You haven't gone and ascertained every Tory voter's reasons for voting Tory, you've just chucked a blanket over the lot of them and you think they're all ****s because of it.

And with that being said, we're done here, rest assured your vote will be worth just as much as mine is tomorrow and I don't think you're a **** whether you choose, Labour, Tory or you choose to shove that pen up your fart pipe. <ok>

I've always been a fan of Sortocracy.

Basically, the candidates are picked by random based on all eligible people. There is no way to get a more true representation of the people.

First Past The Post gives an uneven distribution and voting for parties and letting them pick members of Parliament based on % representation is undemocratic in that it gives party leaders too much power to control who gets elected.

Election by sorti (like ancient Athens did) means you get a legitimate cross section of the public (yes including the odd weirdo). But you don't have to worry about them being in bed with corporation or lobbyists, they didn't campaign. They do what they think is right, rather than abide by a party decision or what they think will get them elected. They can come from anywhere on social structure. You don't have to be rich or at least well off to run.

(Granted the arguments above make more sense in US than UK when lobbyists have more power , two parties dominate more and campaigns last longer but I think it could help the UK too)

Replace house of Lords with a body elected by sorti. Keep the commons elected FPTP, so easier to get an elected body with power, and one by sorti that better represents the pulse of the people to help delay or repeal bills that are not in sync with the will of the people.

It's based entirely upon empirical evidence.
People might have a variety of reasons for doing something ****ty, but they're still doing something ****ty.
This bizarre zen-Tory defence, where I have to know every person's reasons for their actions, is rather odd, honestly.
I don't see it being applied to anything else. I have no idea why it would apply here.

National debt has DOUBLED under the Tories in the last 7 years.
Austerity has seen massive cuts to public services and done NOTHING to reduce the debt.
