We have saw in the run up to this election Labour people being attacked by SNP supporters when canvasing for votes..It is my view that nationalism and religion in politics are recipes for disaster..

Well it looks like Sturgeon has conned the voters in Scotland with her charming rhetoric.
'If you want to lock the Tories out of Downing St then the only way is to vote for us.'
Quite the opposite has happened & it's down to her we have them back.
They have wiped out Labours vote up there - once a stronghold.
Labour should have pissed it were it not for SNP.

If Labour had all 59 seats in Scotland the Tories would still be in mate.

Labour were trashed in England by the Conservatives, that's where it was won.

Labour lost this election when they appointed Ed as their leader. I feel for the bloke as he did his best and that's all any of us could do. His best was never going to be good enough though. The SNP did what you'd expect them to do and they did it well. Labour ****ed it up all by themselves.

I didn't vote and have no affiliation one way or the other. This is completely impartial mate.

I don't especially like UKIP but it's a disgrace that them and the Green party have 2 seats between them when they've got something like 10-15% of the vote.

Ridiculous system which needs to be changed.

Proportional representation is the only way a government should be decided.

n my opinion it has been a victory for the concerted effort that has been directed against Labour and Ed Miliband by the British media, and I include the BBC in this..It is making a mockery of our so called democracy and has me feeling sick to the stomach this morning..

Labour were stitched up by strategic voting by the unions, when they stupidly appointed Ed instead of David, and that's what cost them the election.

There only seems to be one thing wrong with politics . . . . politicians

I've just read somewhere that UKIP got more votes than the SNP !!! But it's all about seats I guess. Still, Farage will get his referendum. He's drummed up enough interest for that.

I think leaving the EU would be the wrong move for us but it's wrong that they don't have the seats to match the votes. It's an idiotic system.

Nicola Sturgeon is a very clever, charismatic woman but I wouldn't trust her at all.
IMO she has her own agenda & that was never to lock the Tories out.
She says that Cameron has no mandate in Scotland & while that may be true, he has no mandate in NE England either.
I hope he tells her to **** off, cuts their funding & rams it up her kilt.
She would try to hold to ransom whichever party got in.
I hope she gets hoofed in the ****ing clam.

10.52 am - Cameron has got an absolute majority. It's just come up - 323 is enough because sinn fein MPs never come to Westminster and the Speaker rarely votes.
