I'm not naive at all, I know it goes on and I think it's very disloyal and wrong. I'd go as far as to say it should be an internally punishable offence.

Clearly Adam Drury doesn't care about Leeds if he's happy to - in the words of the man who left consequently to that chat - 'sell' another club to our best player.

So he won't get any applause or chants from me this season, not that I won't hope he plays well.

you might not believe in keeping players fresh, and neither do i if i'm being honest, but that is what is happening and EVERY team does it nowadays, so my point is we have to get used to it because managers aren't suddenly going to pick a full strength team in these matches, especially when we have bigger priorities like staying up. easy with hindsight, but had s****horpe been going in full blooded for every challenge and we ended up with two or three injuries to key players, hughton would have been lambasted by the media and fans alike. its a risk-free strategy because hughton probably didn't really care if we got through or not. and it may mean these games aren't much fun to watch but we did still win the game, and that's all that matters in the cup games. if we draw bradford or crawley or someone like that at carrow road, i suggest you don't go cos you'll only get disappointed by the team selection and probably the performance too, but it will give us a chance to try new things and hopefully progress again without risking our best players. and for what its worth, i thought both morison and martin completely wasted a very good opportunity to impress the new manager. they only have themselves to blame if they don't get picked for the more important games or even end up being sold.

I never thought I'd be saying this, but I will take your advice on this subject, and not go to anymore cup games, they are a ****ing insult to us fans!!!! It's also a insult to teams like Scunthorpe who's fans came to see their team compete against a "Premiership team" and got a division one team instead!!

Just to qualify the first part of this: I mean, I never thought I would not go and watch my team, not take your advice! <ok>

he's not disloyal <doh>

bloody hell - what a pathetic, terrible post! adam drury is one of the most sincere and genuine footballers of his generation and personally i think you're a complete bellend who shows a distinct lack of understanding of the situation!

grow up, for **** sake man <doh>

Very sad if a significant number of Leeds fans are trying to blame Drury for Snodgrass coming to Norwich. I don't know about the rest of you but it would take a bit more than a bloke who has been at a firm for more than a decade telling me it was a good place to work before I jumped ship and joined them. As previously posted by several on this thread what would Drury say if asked the question? Norwich IS a decent place to live, the club IS going places and the fans ARE quality. I don't think that this is news to anyone even in deepest Yorkshire. If it wasn't i'm sure that Howson/Johnson could have had a word and told him that he may be better looking elsewhere.

I hope that after seeing AD give 100% for Leeds for a few games the fans there will see what a top man he is (even if he is secretly on a mission for CH scouting out our next recruit from our favourite feeder club). Maybe the conspiracy theorist will view AD's free transfer as Agent Drury infiltrating the ranks to engineer Snodgrass' move all along.

Oh, we're already onto the invalid football:business analogies. Goodie.

And I never fully 'blamed' Drury for Snodgrass' departure. Please read my posts carefully before criticizing them. :)
