I have a great respect for your manager Adkins by the way, always came across as a decent, intelligent bloke while he was at Scunny (whose real name I can't say for fear of the swear filter). Are any of you disappointed he didn't match Poyet's achievements at Southampton or just relieved to be back in Div2?
Game for Game NA's record is better than Poyets.......... since his arrival at Saints Na's average points is 2.15 per game. Poyets is actually 2.08 points per game over the season. So in reality although saints didn't actually win the league because of the bad start under Pardew, we could argue NA has done better than Poyet. I think it goes without saying we are pleased to be back in the Championship. Relieved yes I suppose we are in the end we were pushed all the way. It would seem this league is the closest it has been for many a year!! Assuming that Huddersfield win next week I am sure they will feel aggrieved at amassing 89 points and not getting promoted automatically. It doesn't bare thinking about if we had had a better start Brighton and we would have been fighting neck and neck the whole season for pole position. Still we weren't so that is that, a pity, I would have liked to give Gus Poyet a few more night mares!!!
We have have had such a great season (and enjoyed Adkins) that I honestly couldn't be happier. I enjoyed last year and the JPT trip to Wembley, but it's time to leave League 1. Nicola has his entertainment value as well. Glad we're not in play offs. Brighton can have their trophy because both teams have reached the Championship.
My fella is Reading through and through so their games will be the first I look for on the fixture list. Closely followed by P*mpey of course!!
Pardew was only in charge for 3 league games. 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss. The games between Pardew leaving and Adkins coming was our down fall.

Would be nice to have all Southern teams in one league which of course has never happened before. I guess though Huddersfield will have a say in that. I think you will get to the final with huddersfield. I think you will beat either the Dons or the Posh. You will have your work cut out with the terriers though. Still as I say the best of luck....

Oh yes, we had such a huge advantage playing back to back games. As we didn't overtake Brighton, can't see what Poyet is whinging about. He should be full of the joys of spring, in stead he has a chip the size of Everest on his shoulder.
