touché Seriously though, I think you will be up there. Will be interesting to see how McDermott does with a different club. Obviously did a fantastic job at Reading, but he had been in the background for many years and knew the squad inside out, and already had their respect.
There's already 2 tinpot teams in the Premiership now Palarse and Hull have gone up - last thing it needs is the Beeston Pub team overspending again while its yob fanbase create havoc
Tin Pot millwall belong in the 3rd division...your going down this season TC. As for being up peoples arses Mr Suited n Booted, what ever floats YOUR boat..
How you can call any team tinpot I will never know 75 fans to an away game haha even Halifax Town get 10 times that
According to Millwall fans, you're either a tinpot club or a club trying to buy success and therefore ruining football. Except for Millwall of course, who are a shining example of what a football club should be...
Well, according to TC anyway. I like the way he is very quick to condemn the actions of a Club who have spent more than Millwall but then labels other Clubs as "tinpot". I'd like to see where Millwall falls in TC's categorisation of English Football Clubs.
That poll just shows how much Bolton and Reading are failing on expectation (although Reading could still make the play-offs, i can't see them consistent enough for the autos).
I must of said Q.P.R as I tipped them right from the start of the season. I think I said Leicester to finish in the top 6, so... not bad. I remember when I sent this thread. Abit of a shock to see it back 8 odd months later
I don't mind admitting that I was one of the ten that backed the boys! I've said why a million times - a young team that has grown together and is more experienced - much better than artificially forcing a time of mercenaries together like Sven did or like QPR are doing. We've also added some experienced fringe players (GTF, Hammond, Waza and now Phillips and Mahrez) which can help see out games that we weren't doing last year. Regarding our rivals, I thought QPR would lose more players than they have (they've actually signed ****loads more - I don't know how they've got round FFP, frankly I don't think they have and it will be interesting to see what happens to them), similar thing with Watford after they closed the loophole and Brighton after sacking their manager. Reading I fancied for play-offs, and I thought Forest would be up there, since Krankie no doubt made loads of demands before returning. Also fancied Ipswich for play-offs - but I say that every year! lol. Wigan I thought would struggle to make the top six, but they did keep more players than I thought they would, so have under-performed a bit. Bolton - well, you only have to look at our rejects there to see they wouldn't do anything. Brum and Blackburn have continued to disappoint as expected. The big surprises for me have been Burnley and Derby. Who'd have thought replacing Clough with McClaren would be a good move? Burnley's Dyche has organically grown a good bunch - it's that old cliché; the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Perhaps the most surprising thing is that they've gone from the abyss midtable to challenging at the top, and after they've sold one of the league's most prolific strikers!
