Not entirely. I do believe that the playing field has narrowed somewhat. Maybe the new TV deal, but the 'smaller clubs' are buying more wisely and building decent sides I think the so called big four are not going to find life quite as easy as it has been up until now.
Agree there, it will only make this league better. We saw that the smaller clubs wont be pushed around as much by the clubs with more cash these days too. Oh and apologies for calling you a dick in the other thread
Everton put their foot down with us last summer when we tried to get Stones. 5 years ago that would have been a foregone conclusion. Or if we were Man United, since Everton always bend over for their big brother United.
We left it too late to buy Stones. If we had started the game earlier in the window there is a good chance the Toffs would have capitulated. Everton stood up to United over Baines of not Rooney etc
Be glad they refused you Baines, if they hadn't you may not have bought United legend Luke "Fatty Bum Bum" Shaw for the knockdown price of what was it? £32m? United overpaid for everyone that year.
In truth I'm glad we got Shaw instead of Baines. The latter is a competent left back, the former will go on to be the dog's swingers. Mourinho will finally get his man! Shaw was signed a year after Fellaini.
He may go on to EAT the dog's swingers..... Seriously though, he may go on to be good, but he seems injured alot. Not good for someone so young.
Injuries aren't unusual in young players. He's still growing into his ample body. The leg break was a freak accident though. When I say accident I mean reckless tackle that didn't even get a yellow card.
I agree. I suppose it's still a 'big' four but there's a definite top six forming with Spurs and Leicester bound to stay strong.
2016 -2017 : Chelsea vs Man U for the title with Man City running on the outside .These 3 teams will want to put this season behind them with a vengeance and it should be reasonably close for top 4 . Can't wait to see what these 3 clubs spend in the summer ....
I think that he's already gone, but it's yet to be announced. Not sure if he knows or not. I suspect that there's some sort of clause in Mourinho's contract with Chelsea that prevents him taking over now or it costs too much.
