Dont think Ozil will be. Massive panic buy from le Arse and no real need for him.

Hard to say really. Need to see them all play first.

Ozil for me. Only genuine World Class player to come in. If they had just signed a striker and addressed the issues at the back they'd be serious contenders in my book.

True, even that wasn't a panic but as they were after him for weeks but Spurs tried and failed to make sure it didn't happen with Bale

Whether the deal was done in a "panic" or not, takes nothing away from the quality of the player in question.
Ozil is class, and I would have him at Chelsea in a second.

Ozil is definetely the biggest name and will play all the time at Arsenal so for now I'll say him. However if Eto'o scores a bag of goals and we win the title, could be a great bit of business on a free transfer ;) - but a big if at the moment though.

Does no one rate any €puds' signings?

Unproven. Lamela and Paulinho are great buys and will undoubtedly have an immediate impact but I have my doubts on how quickly the others will settle.

I would rather be in Arsenal's position and have an experienced manager in charge of a squad that's been together and played together for years + added a world class player than a side that has an inexperienced manager in charge of a randomly assembled squad who've just sold their best players over the last 12 months, thus changing the entire dynamic of the side.

Spurs need time, but do they have it? Liverpool and Arsenal rapidly improving and also growing in belief + both seem to have an identifiable method and pattern of play.

I have a feeling Spurs signings will get better as the season progresses and it will be better to play them sooner (especially away from home) rather than later whereas the opposite is true for Arsenal/Liverpool.

For me it will be ' Last Minute Moyes' this single act gave the league away at a stroke.<ok>

Come on now Ossie. give it a rest!
And I agree with you DL, have changed my opinion of the Spurs/Arsenal war.
Am now thinking Arsenal may come out on top

I think schurrle is going to be Chelsea's best signing.

Close between ozil and sonogo for arsenal <whistle>

Spurs - Paulinho this season, lamela over time

Liverpool - sakho is a great signing

City - possibly Navas

Utd - erm <laugh>

Good to have you back SuperAl. A lot of people on here have been asking after you. We need more posters (from rival clubs) like you <ok>

History shows if you change too much too soon it doesn't deliver success.

In the 2010/11 season I couldn't believe people had us down as favourites when we offloaded Carvalho, Deco and Ballack with just Ramires in as replacement. It changed the dynamic of our side and once Lampard/Drogba were out the side due to injury/illness our season was as good as done and we struggled to score goals (wasn't it an 8 game run without a win or something ridiculous?!).

It's also why Barca manage to win La Liga every year without a manager, by having the same dynamic and group of players but just adding to it when need be, rather than replacing the entire spine over and over again like Perez likes to do at Real. The only time Real broke the dominance is when they had a genuine manager in charge.

Everyone will have their opinions but for me, Arsenal finishing top 4 is a formality (even moreso than last year), printing money.
