I don't think I'd mind tbh.

Got Cardiff promoted and playing decent football and it certainly sounds like he'll be available soon...

We have to come to terms with the fact that an A* manager is not sat by the phone hoping we contact them. In our current state, money is the only thing that will attract a manager. Similarly, the good managers out there are nearly all already taken and won't want the bad rep that comes with shafting their current team halfway through the season.

I think Malky McKay is def worth a go. He seems to get the best out of his squad, which is actually not that good. He seems like a good motivator, and could potentially be available. I would rather Spurs took a chance with him, rather than some of the other names being bandied about.

He knows the prem better than quite a few of the names on the list
He can speak English (important for conveying points)
He knows a little about us having had his team play against us
He will probably be available soon

There are always risks with a new manager but he's less risky than getting someone like De Boer who knows little about the PL.

Right, how do we convey this to Levy?! Where's Spurcat when you need him?

I assumed WY was taking the piss by suggesting Malky McKay, now I'm concerned that people would want him in charge!!

Sherwood speaks AGAIN

Sounds like Sherwood believes he called everything right and he mouths off more then Redknapp so people who had a problem with Redknapp being Gobby will have a new target!

You mean you haven't heard of the unit of measurement known as the Redknapp (symbol R)?

He sounds more like Wenger, only bring in players that will improve the squad.

Madness! What about strengthening our third-choice right winger options?

The very mention of Wenger - we can complain about how our best players have left and we've had no choice in the matter but just look at how Arsenal have dealt with the same problem year after year after year. It really is infuriating how good Wenger is.

Because when you turn your managers into sacrificial kings, those with nothing to lose will tend to be your only volunteers.

"The offer was immediately rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who has tasked Baldini with hiring Villas-Boas’s replacement from a shortlist of candidates the Italian was asked to draw up this month."

If this is true, it shows what a complete cretin Daniel "Dr. Evyl" Levy is. Total knee jerk sacking with no contingency plans in place. He hadn't even consulted the DOF to look for other suitors before making this decision. The guy is clueless at footballing decisions and is going to take our club back several years at this rate. Levy is the one who should offer to resign. AVB was his man. It was his project. He failed so he has to go too. 'Evyl' can't keep hiring people and then laying the blame at his own appointments each time it goes wrong. It's totally upside down thinking!

Hoddle has said that he'd take the job as an interim appointment. Probably because he knows that if he got it and succeeded that it'd be very hard to shift him.

If we want a new manager based on their family's connection to Spurs, there is only one choice...
