Bruno Labbadia (born 8 February 1966 in Darmstadt) is a former German footballer of Italian heritage. Despite lack of English, on 12th January 2015 he was unveiled as the new head coach of Premier League team Newcastle United. Upon signing he announced his love for Newcastle Brown Ale, Greggs and a "special managers' discount card" at Sportsdirect as key factors in joining the club. He has a good friendship with long term Newcastle assistant manager John Carver. They are frequent drinking buddies down the bigg market. He has been the manager of several German clubs since 2003. His most recent post was as head coach for Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.

Those of you who think we haven't got our act together are being naive. I suspect Mikey is waiting until towards the end of January so that whoever he appoints won't have time to do anything in the transfer window.
