There's a difference between wanting a player , or a manager for that matter , and them wanting you .the top brass has made us look unappealing on many levels .
Fowler is right up to a point. If YOU were a top player, and The Swans' offered you mega bucks to join them in their relegation fight, with a clause in your contract that would see next season's earnings plummet,if the team lost it's PL status - would you sign? Of course you wouldn't,and that's the dilemma The Swans' now find themselves in. Money doesn't ALWAYS count, and even brain dead footballers know the reality of life after relegation.
I'm hoping Guidolin has a " Laudrup -Michu " type connection with a striker that's ready to come through the door in the next 2 weeks , pretty good chance imo
Wow you got to be kidding , things teams will do in the January window in a semi panic is incredible. Good on the board for turning away from this one I guess ...yikes .
Yes, Austin's wages were huge and as it turns out we were right to pass. I see that Ayew isn't going anywhere and a new striker looks imminent: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35356948 ...although reading this again the actual quote abut incoming was "We don't want to lose anyone and are trying to bring people in," - not quite the same.
I would take Jordan Rhodes in a heartbeat, yes he is untested in the Prem but realistically we are not going to get a prem striker in January. At least he knows where the back of the net is.
