Did wonders at Udinese apparently and then took on a job for the family that owned them and two other teams ....one was Watford , the job had to do with scouting ....good signs imo

Has a record of moving teams out of the mire and up to mid table. Let's hope he can do the same for us.

If he can retain our Premiership status he can be like whoever he wants! We can re-gather and look afresh in the summer <ok>

If he's half as good as Pulis is in this position we'll be more than safe <ok>

Not sure if it was on this thread or not, but I did raise the possibility that we should look for a Pulis, Allardyce type of Manager to keep us up!

Agree. I'll take 10 very tedious 1-0 victories if it means we stay up.

I think Huw used viagra eye drops since he took a hard look at all the options before plumping for the Italian stallion...

Some of us have been saying that Curt needed help and that it was not fair the way our Board has dumped this situation on him, so it's a very welcome development, as a problem shared is a problem halved. Being Italian Coach you can at least expect out defence to be shored up, and improved, but he should have been here in September, when he was offered as Assistant to Monk, but Monk refused the help, so I'm very pleased as I'm sure most Jacks are, that common sense has prevailed and some serious help and experience is now available to Alan Curtis, perhaps Alan will be able to relax more into the job at hand, well done Huw, now does he have any good strikers connections.?.................<cheers>

Probably give him lunch,or a late dinner. Cawl made with a horse's head would seem appropriate.

This is the bit I liked on his announcement:

He also has a wealth of knowledge of players throughout Europe which will be a big boost on our recruitment side; something we have been reviewing in a lot more depth over the last few months. “When the need arose to look for a new manager or head coach, those characteristics stood out from a number of other potential candidates, together with the enthusiasm he has shown to come in and help us turn our season around and retain our Premier League status.’’
