I may be old fashioned but I think to win a General Election the Labour Party would need to win more seats than all the other Parties put together. No party will win a GE until Brexit is resolved , the main two are split by it , as is the country.
WHILST ALL THIS GOING ON ...the lib dems are quietly … [ with the "d" team media in cool pursuit] going about electing their new leader ...lol
Boris Ain't Bluffing. Boris warns EU ‘I’m not bluffing over no deal Brexit’ Read more: https://metro.co.uk/2019/07/07/boris-warns-eu-im-not-bluffing-no-deal-brexit-10127639/?ito=cbshare
It is certainly an interesting time in British politics. For Boris to deliver a no deal Brexit in time for October 31st, assuming he gets elected, he would have to bypass parliament. This IS possible - he would have to dissolve Parliament early I think, to prevent anyone tabling a motion designed to prevent it. However, the Remainers, the mischief-makers and those genuinely opposed to no-Deal aren’t stupid - they know this, so they will either table the motion early, or wait for Corbyn to table a ‘no confidence’ vote which could trigger a General Election. I may be slightly wrong with some of the above, but the core gist is that Boris is not, and will not be, empowered to deliver a no-deal Brexit on 31st October without the goodwill and cooperation of many people who hate Brexit and hate HIM. In theory it can be done, but it will require a lot of ‘technicalities’ to force it through - and then there’s Burcow....... Absolutely NOT crowing about this - just pointing out the reality of what needs to happen, to those people who might be tempted into believing Boris will deliver on time............
