Fair points ... we may well be surprised by how well different players adapt ... certainly there will be more emphasis on technique and less on huffing and puffing ..
As mentioned on another thread - we have a comparatively small squad. Dont expect too many first team squad to be released. Happy GTF has extended his contract, and hope that Hammond stays. Not a chance in hell of King being released. You dont annihilate what is already a small squad. If clubs want to make reasonable offers for some of the fringe players then that is a different kettle of fish. Pearson has built his squad over the last 2 years and I am happy to leave it to him, as to who stays and who goes, and we need to remember that we only see the contribution someone gives over the course of 90 odd minutes a week.
From LCFC.com The Club will release the following players: Sean St Ledger Zak Whitbread George Taft Neil Danns Jamie Anton Ben Frempah Robert Paratore Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/09...-list-201415-1544523.aspx#VAQqy8MJkSiKFy6I.99
Hammond has a year left on his contract and seems content to be a squad player, same with GTF. Miquel was on loan until the end of season so will go back to Arsenal. St Ledger and Bakayogo's contracts are up and won't be extended/ Ones to worry about are Kasper and Nugent.
GTF had a clause saying if he made 20 appearances the club would have to offer him a new contract Dean Hammond and Zoumano Bakoyogo have 1 year left on their contracts
So does Futacs I think. Three players that will either have their contracts cancelled by mutual consent (possible in Futacs case) or will be on loan all next season. I don't think Bako and Futacs will be on much, but giving Gallagher another three years was yet another **** up by Sven and one we forget about.
