<laugh> I had heard that they were asking the players to hold back as they couldn't afford a new stand for Udi and one for Watford.

I heard they wanted to build a new stadium and ground share all 3 clubs - Watford, Udinese and Granada. The stadium will be in France!

    Maybe even the title.

Yes, it would be disrespectful to Cardiff to go as far as saying that Bassini alone deprived us of winning the title, and yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing. But had we started the season with a squad that knew what was going on in mid June and were all together at the start of pre-season (apart from Deeney), who's to say how the title race would have panned out?

Even with the recent blip, our form since things clicked (the start of November) has been one point worse than Cardiff's:

    Cardiff P30 W16 D8 L6: 56 points
    Watford P30 W16 D7 L7: 55 points

Personally I think we would have fallen a bit short, as we would still have slumped at the end, but on paper it would have been a damn near-run thing.

I think that I could provide the site for a joint stadium and stick a sign up at the end of the access green lane saying it is Vicarage Road. I am sure that instead of overpriced half time coffee for the fans, glasses of Bordeaux would go down very well.

However Petchey behaved he left a going concern, Bassini didn't. I must hold my hand up and say I believed LB when he arrived, just makes me look a bit silly.
