I agree, if you look back on my previous posts (a pointless exercise tbf), you will see I have been one of the biggest criticisers of Koren on here in recent times. But he has never ever been useless.

MattTheTiger - are you having a laugh? Koren is by no means useless, although he is not as prolific as he used to be, he is still a good player. By no means should he even be on this thread.

    My contenders:
    - Peter Halmosi
    - Danny Graham
    - Steve McPhee
    - Alan Rogers

I completely forgot about Graham already.

Though that was probably a good thing.

Aye, that dirty ****er up front for QPR that after the ball went out for a throw just clattered him and put him into the advertising boards ****ing his knee up has to take the blame for that. Of course that useless ****er Dermot Gallagher's response was to do **** all, a bit like that Ben Thatcher challenge on Pedro Mendes the next season. He thought that was worth a yellow, when really it was so bad the FA thought it was worth changing their own rules to impose an 8 game ban, and Man City had already given him a 6 game ban of their own when the FA got involved.

Our most useless player has to be Jon French though. Or Lee Bracey. Bracey was a decent enough keeper, he just had a bit of a problem staying on the pitch for 90 minutes <laugh>

Nearly as bad as Roy Keane ending Haaland's career like the pathetic dick he is.

I didn't think he was that bad, just didn't live up to the fee. I'm not sure why I'm defending him though. <angry>

Do you remember the press conference when he signed? When asked about his attributes the response was "He's got great pace which allows him to recover when he makes a mistake". We should have known then what was to come.

Frighteningly, he became a goalkeeper coach.

I prefer the injury time winner of the 3-2 against Watford, when they'd been timewasting so much there was genuine concern that we'd have to postpone our next game due to not having completed that one. Most satisfying goal I've seen at City and it was in a meaningless game. (Cardiff, Wembley, and at Yeovil we still had to wait after the goals to get the relief)

Little known thing. Although Keane admitted trying (and succeeding) to injure him, and he never played a full game again, he injured his right knee. Haaland's eventual retirement was due to an injury in his left knee.

That was second on my 'list', for exactly the same reasons.

Kyle lightbourne! My only memory of him was warming up before a match and sliding in on a player, injuring them before the game....absolute useless!

That tackle on Lynch was horrific, it was that ****er Paul Furlong and it was only one minute into his debut for us. His City career pretty much ended there and then.

I was on a flight with Adam Pearson a few years back, while he was Derby chairman and we had the same discussion.
He went for Ben Petty and Matt Wicks and although they were utter ****e, we had far worse under Dolan!

Craig Lawford and Chris Lee used to get on my tits when I started watching City.

I'm pretty sure the actual worst ever player was during the Dolan era , there have been a few good shouts so far

Koren has played in the world cup , he is on a different planet compared to the likes of Chris Lee and Gregor Rioch

Stuart Blampey played over 70 times for City in the 1970s. I saw him play lots of games. Steven Deere was a good centre back. Paddy Greenwood and Phil Holme weren't great but they did try. The same could be said of Peter Fletcher from the same time. Does anyone else remember seeing Alf Wood play for us? He was nowhere near our worst player. For me, it's Jamie Wood. I always thought Wood was a description rather than his name.
