Junior Lewis played 25 times for us in the ****ing Premier League.

If he was your worst ever player in Division 3 then just attempt to comprehend how out of place he looked for us.

    That bitter taste comment Pez?

You set that up on a plate should someone feel the need.

I like you so it won't be me.

    Rowan Vine and Matt Hocking.

Hocking because I got it in my head he was going to Beckenbauresque in stature.

Turned out to be a flange with a blonde quiff.

Very pretty but not a proper centre half.

    IMO.

You must have missed his equalising goal at Chesterfield one dull Tuesday night when we were chasing promotion ?
One of two which Junior Lewis was involved in with us.
How about starting a new thread........our most negative poster?

Hahaha! As soon as I read the title of the post, Junior Lewis came to mind. I'm sure there's probably others, but he was definitely one of the players most out of his depth whilst still getting games.

I think we need some perspective here, fellers. Lots of mentions for players who were **** for us in the Championship and League One, but surely, candidates for our ****test ever players must come from those days when we were a genuinely **** team, in the lower reaches of the old Division 4? Sure, someone like James Harper was a disappointment for us at the time, but he would've been ****ing useful for us back in the mid-to-late 1990s.

Why, were we short of arm wavers in the 90's?

Swanny was a decent keeper in a very successful team - his selection over Mike Williams was one of the key changes that marked the start of City's improvement.
As for the worst player my vote has to go to David Jones, unbelievably bad and he would have struggled to get in a decent Sunday League team.

This is true Polly but some of the posters on the thread are too young to have seen or too young to appreciate how truly shat-bender those times/players were.

So, it’s genuine for them to pick from players they’ve seen, albeit if we’d deem them to be miles better than the **** we had in the 90s.

    Jammy bastards (in that respect).

Robbie Turner, Antonio Doncel and Steve Morgan. None from the last ten years should be anywhere near the worst player list!

Personal opinion....I thought he was useless. Good job we had Wagstaff/Chilton etc scoring at the other end for us.
Vast improvement when we got Ian McKechnie in.

Bit harsh on Doncel - remember his debut in a friendly v Forest. Fat **** Fieldhouse said he came on to a 'chorus of gasps'. Think he was at Hull University.

Morgan - just a lower league journeyman and was ok.

Robbie Turner - didn't he score a couple at Scarboro? Think Dolan even played him against his parent club (Cambridge)only to sub him after 20mins.

Keane - the little midfielder under Taylor? If so, far from our worst ever.

    Agreed- a stupid thread.

Only other clubs' fans call us 'Hull; unless the OP is wanting a rugby thread.
