Would rather have him than someone like Zola. World class player but nothing but failure on his manergerial cv unlike Bruce.
No thank you. He looked like he'd run out of ideas and the players didn't look motivated at all. Fresh owners means a new start under somebody else, we can't keep clinging on to the past and all this sentimentality. It's the same reason Campbell gets mentioned every year; what's in the past is done, move forward with somebody else.
It's time for the club to move on. That doesn't detract from the fact that SB has been absolutely magnificent for us.
I've been a big Steve Bruce supporter & will be forever thankful for his managerial spell. However, he walked out on us like he has done at several previous clubs & I would not be in favour of his return.
I think you've got to hope that a change of ownership would change his mind. He knows you lot, he knows your players and I think your player liked him. If he can get in and add a few additions you go from being relegation favourites to having a really good chance of staying up.
I Liked Steve Bruce. But the more games I watched away from home last season the more I realised fez talked sense about him and I was wrong I wouldnt have him back Hes not the Great manager I though he was though I will always like S Bruce. I hope we give Phelan a chance
A definite no from me... he was past his sell by date long before he walked... we managed to get promoted last season in spite of!!
He's on record, to Burnsie at least, saying he would not be comfortable working for Chinese owners again after his experience at Birmingham under Carson Yeung. Chances of a return are slim slim to none, as has been said previously, plus sometimes you just need to accept it's time to move on with your life.
Not a chance, Steve is done and dusted, he's gone with our full respect under poor circumstance, let him remain well thought of. I am happy with Phelan as a temporary manager, he might prove to be inspired, but just about everyone of us would have fielded that team and resisted any substitution - did anyone see any real option? As for turning our backs on legends, what utter bollocks. We need to get rid of the leg-ends that own us and continue as a progressive club, with new ideas and a passion for attacking.
Perhaps there are only a few decent managers, potentially better than Steve Bruce who would wish to come to Hull.
I agree , Steve Bruce's time has been and gone, but i think he would have played Thudd as his defensive midfielder instead of Clucas. Maybe Phelan saw something in Clucas that Bruce was unable to.
