Pointless thread. I cannot believe you actually made this. 1. Cedric is the best right back 2. Yoshida is better than Martina at right back (and left back) 3. There is 99% chance Cedric was being rested on Saturday. As I've shown in the match thread you don't really pick a right back based on height because they don't contest many aerial duels, sometimes they contest none. 4. Yoshida is a good centre back, he's ok back up for left and right back. But he should never be starting games over a fit to play Cedric. I would have thought Cedric was being rested as mentioned above. 5. If someone questions team selection it doesn't mean they hate the player that they wanted to be left out. I like Yoshida. He just shouldn't be playing over (a fit to play) Cedric at right back, ever.
And why? Maybe he plays horses for courses, or is giving Cedric a rest. Either way the bloke doesn't get much wrong
Unless there is good reason for it which, short of Ron explaining to us very selection, we might never know. Ron, of course, should explain his every decision to us. Save a lot of aggro!
Save this one up for the next Fans' Forum, I suggest. "Ron, you know when you played Yoshida at RB in the Sunderland game...?"
Your argument about a RB not needing to win many aeriel duals from open play is sound, but you have to remember that Allardyce relies a lot on direct set pieces. Without Wanyama or Romeu on the pitch, it's perfectly understandable that Ron would want another big lad on the pitch to help the CB's out.
I think you should have posted this: "Pointless thread and I haven't got the point as to why you posted it" because once again you haven't read properly here or other comments on the match thread. You've gone charging off again. I think that we've done enough laughable circles now, so I'll leave it and just giggle in future. Just beware the grey areas. You'll find them somewhere between black and white ones. I agree with your first two words.
Oh yeah. Hey I forgot to stay in touch with reality today. When are you going down to St Mary's to push Ronald out of his seat.?
