    Klopp's XI

    Karius flop so no gk

Kid at RB - no harm that
    Matip
    VVD
    Robertson
Can if he signs up. needs a no 6
    Keita
    Ox
    Mane
    Firmino (keeper)
    Salah

so.... in the end klopps only 2 players from a final "his 11"

He's stuck in Karius and said right show me now. the guy promptly lets one in at near post. It could be the case klopp wants to know but 29th jan to buy a keeper now or wants to see over next 4 months. It looks to me he's decided he's sick of mingolet and is assessing what needs to be done and when.

Same for no 6. we just don't know what is going on. Can's not exactly been no 1 pick all year has he?

Klopps brought one kid though at RB, kept one player at striker and bought the rest assuming he gets those 2 players

He's pushed the bench along with lovren, wijnaldum, milner, etc all being moved form firsts down to bench.

You realise you are responding to an ancient post. At the time I posted that Enrique was the best LB we had at the club at that time.

At the time we still had Rafa signings remaining at the club. I was not giving a list of the best players we had ever signed... I was giving a list of our best xi at the time and listing who had signed them.

That was in the early days. He did look good when he first signed. I remember his first half of his first season he literally won us points from outstanding saves.

Rodgers did make some good signings... And some terrible signings. The thing about Rodgers is he made A LOT of signings. There seemed.to be a lot of turnover with people coming and going.

Klopp seems to have a more targeted approach. Signing a few at a time rather than signing a lot and hoping some will.work.

Don't agree. Liked Sakho, he had lots of potential but he decided to piss it up the wall instead.

    Definitely disagree <ok>

Having ability is one thing but players need the attitude to match

That, I agree with. Mentally, he's weaker than Lovren!

Depends on how you define mentally?

If you’re talking about on the pitch, then Lovren is a bottler and Sakho didn’t shirk responsibility.

If you’re talking about off the pitch, then you have a point.

Sakho could have a fanny attack on the pitch at times too, that's why teams targetted him at times.

I still think he is good but he threw away a lot of his potential. He had the potential to be better than Matip but I don't think he would replace him now.

So back to the post from 4 years ago. Who signed our current best XI... I think your XI above is probably the best... But I disagree with a few.

I'd say Migs is still better than Karius... Neither are great.

I think most will agree with these...

    Migs - Rodgers
    TAA - Home Grown
    VVD - Klopp
    Matip - Klopp
    Robertson - Klopp

    Mané - Klopp
    Firm - Rodgers
    Salah - Klopp

Midfield is tricky... Personally I go with:

    Can - Klopp
    Henderson - Dalglish
    Milkner - Rodgers

I can see arguments for Ox (Klopp) or Lala (Rodgers). Keita when he arrives.

This is definitely more of a Klopp team than anything else now. 7 of our best 11 players were signed by Klopp. Only 3 Rodgers players (depending on who you count) still count in the first XI.

Yes you can see why klopp wants keita worse than a dog chasing a car.

The issue is horrenderson (copyright pj) and mingolet. If klopp replaces both next summer or even gets someone in the next two weeks then it really will be klopp's team. My view would be if pushed i'd want him to buy a wide forward this window and then bring in the midfielder and GK in summer.

GK: NEW GK, Karius (at a push)
RB: TAA Lcyne (if he's ever back)
LB: Robertson, milner (get shut of the brain dead)
    CB: Matip, Gomez
CB: VVD Lovren (bye ragnar thanks for the tv show)
no 6: NEW NO 6. hoorenderson (no getting rid :( )
    CM: Kieta, milner, grujic
    CM: Ox, Lallana
    LF: Mane NEW
    CF: Firmino, solanke (weak)
    RF: Salah, Ox, Lallana

If you look at it a new wide forward or at least a versitile guy who could play across the park with 2 of the 3 we have is needed cos one injury and we are into the dregs up top.

New no 6 is now a must, can't go on any more

New GK is a no brainer

3 players to complete a team is the closest imo we've been to this place since 2007/08 when it was we just need that wide man to complete rafa's team.

Views on wilson/wooburn to be wide forward choice? Some feel they should be given a go before any buys... would you?

    I wouldn't personally.

Wilson is too good for u23s but not good enough for LFC.

Woodburn has 2 years development to do imo and should go on good loan to accelerate it.

Wilson hasn’t really had a chance and Woodburn has come in and looked decent, nothing more.

Unfortunately, we can’t rely on them to do a job in this campaign. We need quality .
