It must be harder for a manager to see what's wrong, when 20000 other fans can spot it, as well as the playing staff but it takes the management 4 weeks to alter it. It was the same under PB, 4-5-1 week in week out, and everybody could see it wasn't working except PB himself and it took him months to change the setup, by whih point everything was in the balance.

Rosenoir comes across as an honest and intelligent player and person. It is not often that you use intelligent in the same sentence as a footballer. However if he is vocal on the pitch would he be any more vocal by giving him an arm band? It maybe that he has given the captains role to Hobbs to give him more responsibility and confidence, while still not losing what Rosenoir brings to the team. Ashbee was a good leader but would he have altered his style or character had he not been captain? I remember reading the autobiography of Tony Adams and he claimed to be just as bossy as an 18 year old coming into the team as he was when captain years later. A vocal player will always play that way but it maybe that somebody less vocal will start to talk with a bit of black tape around his arm.
