of course coleman is spot on. what right has collins got to expect he should be first choice.how arrogant is that for a start....it not as if he is world class and would make any difference...he threw his toys out of his pram end of story.....I hope coleman and any future manager remembers that he and he alone refused to play for wales and he has seen the last of any more caps in his flagging career....serves him right....he had his chance and blew it...
Dai, It's a results based job so you have to look at results. He's got the same set of players as Speed had and has not been able to reproduce the performace levels or team ethic irrespective ofthe indvidual abilities of players or the results. The situation at the FAW is irrelevant as previous mangers have had to work under the same constraints although I agree they need to be changed. Pullis is the only Welsh manager with the experience needed to be able to manage the Welsh team although not my choice, I'd prefer to see the Dutchman back but I now that will never happen. I do not agree Coleman handled the Collins issue correctly, if Collins is mentally not prepared why does the media need to know? Colemans managment is poor at best and his poor record at club level did not make him a candidate for an international position, so perhaps I should feel sorry for him being given a position he is clearly not qualified for.
Mental. With the way our clubs are performing, it's a damn shame to have a nation that is so so far behind.
If Collins is right then Coleman has either been hoodwinked or he has told a real porky. The plot thickens!!! What a mess.
So now Collins gives a different story. 1st team is a joke and so are the under 21s. Time for a change.
Oops...sharp intake of breath coming from collins camp now he has realized he made a gaff... too late you moron...
The trouble here is though Taff, I do not think that Coleman has had the chance to put Allen, Bale, Ramsay and Bellamy on the pitch at the same time. You could put Fergie in charge of Wales, but if those 4 ain't on the pitch playing for Wales as the same time, we lose as the rest just simply ain't good enough. Hopefully with both Swansea and Cardiff now in the PL, the development of Welsh players will improve, as there isn't enough being done at the development age in my opinion.
