Yeah, thats very true Al. We saw that against Brighton. The player runs into his keeper and goes down like he was shot and Forsyth ended up getting booked.
yep, unfortunately the refs seem to believe that if someone falls over the tackle was at fault...often it's a fair tackle but the ref is fooled...it's frustrating!
Especially when the likes of Southampton get awarded penalty after penalty for them and we don't! I was spitting chips when watching the highlights of Saturday's games - Southampton's 2 penalties were both atrocious decisions, one a clear dive and the other not even in the penalty area.
But BB, surely everything evens itself out over a season if that was the case we would have a penalty awarded every game for us to even it out over the last few years
I think Mariappa is a clear favourite for player of the season. Hogg has only really shone when Buaben has played alongside him, Dickinson is a full back which tends to count against players, and while Sordell is a shoe-in for young player, I wouldn't compare the season he's having with the seasons of strikers who have won it over the last 20 years or so. But I don't see what any of that has to do with the armband. This isn't the same situation as two years ago, where Mariappa and DeMerit didn't appear to get on and Mariappa was in my opinion the better choice. Whenever you ask anyone who they look up to on the training ground, the answer is always Eustace. Mapps is in my opinion re-enforcing that we don't need to pick Eustace purely for leadership, and that unless he leaves this season he is going to be the next captain of this club. But I think demoting someone after a short injury purely because his replacement has had a few good games would be a terrible idea.
Thems the breaks unfortunately, how he got that 2nd one wrong we will never know! We all know thats bollocks!! Thats just a way of justifying the rubbish decisions. We went a whole 2 years with out a pen at the vic!! That says it all. I make it that we should have had at least 5 this year.

We all get frustrated over penalty decisions...or non-decisions. The trouble is every fan in the land thinks his team gets fewer decisions than than everyone else. The statistics aren't always helpful, unless you assume that every team over a season will get exactly the same number of legitimate penalty claims. Some teams do appear to get more favourable decisions, but they are often those who play the most attacking football and get most attacking players into the box most frequently. So while I rant and rave with the best of them, I doubt whether the injustice is always as bad as it sometimes seems.
I know. I am just glad Marv got his goal on sat or we could have counted another pen we didnt get. As Mapps ran towards the ball in order to head it, he was pulled back by the scruff of the neck and hurled to the ground. But the ref would not have seen that and the defender would go unpunished!
Totally agree with NNW. Maybe it is time to make Mariappa club captain. He's not a youngster anymore in terms of experience. I've always been impressed with him- he seems to stay calm, and as has been said, results tend to be good when he skippers.
Was he or she Stoned or just clueless? My Posh supporter friend even admitted they were poor that game by their standards.
