Seems to be a concensus from our two new mods (best of luck guys ) so we'll let it lie if you like. Would still like the poster to come forward to clear it all up, but I think some of us have a very good idea anyway. Anybody who followed the thread that was closed by Super Mario probably thinks the same as me.
Fair enough lads but it feels a bit depressing to think one of our own would do this without an explanation.
Taff. I can't imagine the reason someone complained was because they "wanted anonimity" as you put it earlier - we've all got that on here unless a member wants to post his real name and address (very unlikely). The reason the banning order was requested was that the poster concerned didn't like the personal insults being traded - for that matter, neither did I and most others on here. That doesn't mean he should run to the Super Mod asking for the poster to be banned banned!! A request to close the thread and perhaps a warning to the offender would have been quite sufficient.
T'wasn't me. I didn't even know who the Supermod was until I read this, and anyway I thought you had to be a board Mod to request anything from the Supermod, implying that it was getting too serious for you to deal with yourself. That would imply to me that the request must have been made by a Mod. But then, what do I know? Certainly not where the Spanish Inquisition will turn up next!!
It's sad if it was one of our own and it couldn't be sorted with a PM or public comment, but time to move on! Lets not let this board deteriorate to the internal slaning matches of some other boards. Hopefully we can entice a few absent friends back and add a few new posters. Time to talk footy.
Snaggs. Anyone can PM another member and that includes the Super Mod - he's only human (I think?). I don't know where Pont has dissappeared to as he was pretty active when he first assumed the role - maybe he's got more pressing personal issues that can make this message board seem insignificant. Best of luck to him anyway. As far as Taffthesheep and Blue Fish are concerned, we should all give them our full backing unless they take the job too seriously as we've seen elsewhere and over-react. Power corrupts, absolute power currupts absolutely.......... I hope they can just continue to enjoy the board like the rest of us, and not get sucked into petty squabbles between Bluebirds. The best mods are the ones you never know are there.
