We're both apparently thinking along similar lines Ristac. The FL will likely take the issue out of Cellinos hands and we'll never know what he might or mightn't have achieved with time. I know I won't spend the considerable cash required to get to Elland Road to watch, what I consider, second rate footballers. Maybe I'm spoiled, because I've seen the best and struggle to stomach recent imposters
who's the freebies ? Fee involved with pretty much all of them from memory even Adrian had a loan fee.
Dario Del Fabro, Žan Benedičič, Brian Montenegro, Stuart Taylor, Edgar Çani, Adryan Tavares, Granddi Ngoyi, Sol Bamba - according to Wiki no fee's were paid for any of these. When you consider the players who left who were on big fee's you might find it hard to say where the Ross money was spent. Please remember, Cellino told us we were debt free, he told us funds were in place for players and he told us three times he was going to buy back ER My point is the guy is a liar. I have supported him from the very start of this season, I even said no it isn't time to sack Rosler but my honeymoon start to this season has gone with the appointment of Evans and realising nothing is ever going to really change with Cellino in charge
Just looked up on Wiki, fees from Murphy and Wooton up to Dallas and Wood and All in between and some might be surprised it comes to £13.6 million, shocked me.
Quite a lot spent but still not as much as recouped? I take it this is just a fact that surprised you and not to do with where the Ross fee went, because Cellino didn't sign Murphy did he and the money was supposedly gone long before this seasons players joined. Take your point though, we usually make a large chunk on player sales and it never gets seen, at least we have seen some expenditure and like I said in another post, a shame the Wood gamble hasn't paid off but it was one we needed to take.
Murphy cost £1 million but a good part of that if not all,is probably ofset by Berardi who is undisclosed fee and not in the 13.6 million. The Ross fee ? would be surprised if we got more than 7 million when you take off Cardiffs cut and I dont believe it was straight cash, probably lots of add ons for promotion ect which we will never get as Fulhah ain't going up any time soon. The players brought in last season would account for that £7 million.
Spending £2M on Doukora was a complete joke. Worth 10% of that. £1M for Wooton - again only worth a fraction of that. £3M for Wood - Leicester well and truely shafted you there - not worth £500K when you take into account that he's had 1 good season out of 8 !!
Not talking about rugby TC...surprised the wall aren't called the pikeys considering all the different grounds you've moved from..
Not sure mate - our TOTAL spend this summer was only £250K so that is the absolute maximum he would have cost us - 10% of what we sold him to Norwich for The payoff he got from Leeds meant he could take the wage drop too so cheers for that
Has anybody actually mapped out what and where all the components parts of the club are and who owns them? I'd be interested in seeing this. Either a list or as some on here have done, an info-graphic.
Funny that as didn't Leeds say they got £700,000 for him. he must have scored at lest 10 this season though ay.
£700K for a 1 year deal Think your owners are telling you porkies mate - like they are buying Elland Road back. £250k tops and you paid him off double that 3 goals and 3 assists - so far - so if he was still at Leeds he'd be your most valuable player
