I think you know deep down Morgan is going to win this. You're only hope is if he has another twitter meltdown
What about one of the most consistent players we've ever had, Nick Holmes (and Jack Cork of course!).
Wimhurst!! That is a name from the past!! From the 1966 promotion team. Eventually replaced by Hugh Fisher if my memory is correct!!
Hugh Fisher........who scored what turned out to be one of the most important goals in Saint's history (the last minute equaliser against Aston Villa in the FA Cup 3rd round).
Tempted to include Jim McCalliog, just for that pass to Bobby Stokes, but in truth he was past his best when he came to us. Mind you, so was his replacement Alan Ball. Glenn Cockerill wasn't though. What a player he was, he'd be in any team I was picking. Along with Jimmy Case. Cockerill Case Williams Schneiderlin A Svenson
I nearly added Nick Holmes to my list, however as I said on an earlier post, he should be given an instant place on the bench (as Le Tiss in the 11).
Seeing Ball, Holmes and Townsend in there tells me the eras you have watched... no Steve Williams? interesting.
Williams Case Cockerill Oakley Schneiderlin Honourable mention to Ronnie Ekelund who wouldn't be regarded as CM these days anyway and didn't play enough to make my top 5.
