What a despicable horrible little sad ****ing **** you are. Disparage Farage as you see fit but you are crossing the line mentioning H M the Queen.
Anybody who thinks that's ok isn't wired up right imo. We are still semi living with laws that massively benefit the monarchy, descendants of plantation/slave owners. Paying very little and avoiding huge amounts they could contribute to public services and still live the life of Riley. But hey look over there - benefit streets on and there's a boat with some desperate folk on it's way over.
Probably the disparaging way he described the late Queen as “mummy”. Just my take, although Mr. Farnboro will be here shortly, I’m sure.
It's already happened in places like Kent. The garden of England and there's fresh produce rotting in the fields due to a shortage of migrant workers who usually work on the land. You don't see all the people screaming about them taking our jobs getting down and dirty in the fields though.
My point is your post was innacurate. Claiming he dodged tax like Raynor did was not true. He was not obliged to pay any, Raynor was. Raynor broke the rules, The King did not.
Anyone can mention Her Majesty. After the service to her country she does not need to be disparaged like she was. But here's a thing, who I responded to has constantly called out anti Labour supporters as Fascist, Racist and Right Wing, yet no spouting from you. Care to explain?
It’s become some kind of bizarre hysteria. You can’t stop complex problems with simple solutions. I’m going to stick my neck out and say we will never stop people travelling here. We need to manage it and reduce risk but it will never stop or be perfect, it’s just posturing. Reform will fail , gunships or not, and while they fail the devices that keep us civil and help the vulnerable will be removed and we will have elected a callous Putin loving fascist as our representative on the world stage while society continues to become more mixed. People need to wake up and get a grip. If people choose to support Reform I wonder why they are failing to criticise Farage’s tax avoidance?
Ethically not a good look though when your subjects are suffering. The queen chose to pay some. He’s chosen to ignore calls to pay the rest and accepted a bigger income from us. It dwarfs Rayners money. But yes she broke the rules.
I'd never had a massive issue with the Queen but I was disappointed when she handed Prince Andrew millions to solve the peedophile scandal.
Aye there is that. I had no major beef with the queen but I think the fact that we roll into the same **** financial deal with her successor without choice or question and then people make a moral stance on a bit of stamp duty without thinking about the bigger picture deserves a jot of challenge. The same people have said nothing about Farage’s tax avoidance actions which are far beyond Rayner.
I am not sure folk are making a moral stance re Raynor tbh. For me, she has been very aggressive in opposition on tories who dodged tax. Rightly so. Now the boot is on the other foot and she seemed to try and wriggle out of it with the whole I followed the advice. One piece of advice seems to have been get some specialist advice which she did not follow. Live by sword and die by the sword. One thing that interests me about the tax situation of the monarchy is the role of our monarchy and its impact on our economy. One recent survey suggested they have a net positive economic benefit to our country of over £190m p.a. That is declining and is one of the reasons The King is seeking to shrink the operation and its costs. In coronation year net impact was estimated at c£900m benefit. I have long been of the belief the royal family, and in particular the queen, are net contributors to economic value. Now that is on the slide, I suspect due to public sentiment and maybe younger generations having little interest in the pageantry etc. Imagine folk now sitting all day and watching a royal wedding. It just isnt happening. Street parties for jubilees etc, not what they once were. All of this means less money in the UK coffers. I have no idea what the answer is tbh. Maybe if the King paid more taxes we would be all better off, but I have my doubts tbh. One of the real problems we have is what our governments do with rax revenue. They waste so so much because of vanity and poor quality thinking. Put folk in charge who are qualified to be in charge and so much gets improved. Tax more and more, but leave incompetents in charge and nowt will change.
Avoid a bit of stamp duty, that’s five OAPs yearly pension. And you try to make out your in the real world
Denis Healey once said the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion is the thickness of a prison wall!
