One minute you are saying we are 2 strikers from reaching the big time but the next LJ has taken us as far as he can........sorry that doesn't make sense!!
Elements of the Community trust have been merged into the City foundation. Elements are gone. While great things like disabilities football can be free school participation can depend on buying costly partnerships - Its not charitable in nature. A football element. City used to talk about the Pathway. A possible Community trust to academy to squad pathway. Stage one no longer exists. The foundation run school holiday camps and there is not much else. Other clubs here step in where Bristol City are not and there is a danger talent will be lost.
See my previous post, Lee needs to continue to provide year on year improvements, if that stops we need to readdress, but if we get rid it has to be someone of the quality to continue the improvement, no point replacing him with someone that isn’t able to achieve the required improvements.
I am right with you on that one Ashton, I was just trying to highlight that we have made progress as a club in the majority of areas, we have got a weakness, it can be improved by LJ, not necessarily by replacing him but in the event it carries on the same downward spiral SL and MA must have a plan B. Just to repeat myself, I firmly believe LJ should have another chance to improve performances but it should come with consequences, failure to improve, out of the door, fast and furious and a prepared plan B put into operation, just like Tottenham did with Mauricio Pochettino.
The patience and backing afforded to Lee, despite others on here who believe he should be gone, I believe will be in our favour when we do need to look for our next head coach/ manager, as I believe it will make us a much more attractive proposition
All of the plans put in place by Steve Lansdown have been excellent and the proof if there for all to see except for one place, and that is on the field. This supposed movement to better things is being held up by the squad we have assembled under Lee's direction and I can't see it's present inconsistency will improve our lot any time soon. Surely the senior management must be somewhat disappointed with the way the footballing side of the equation has worked out after all the due diligence paid to getting just about all of the other things spot on to the satisfaction of one and all, and yet it seems that the status quo will remain.
