I think Waddock needs to stand up and be counted when it comes to tactics, they've been highly questionable at times and he does seem to rely on players he likes, no matter how well or badly they are playing. And some of his substitutions timings are very odd too. Why we didn't bring on two subs at half time when it was still possible to draw against Huddersfield I'll never know. And 4-2-4 against one of the best teams in the div with the arguable the best striker outside the premier league? What was he thinking?!

I am very concerned we could see a similar score line at the weekend if we don't sign a couple of defenders (and a midfielder or two) within the next 18 hours.

I've been a supporter of Waddock through it all, and I STILL don't think him leaving will save this club. However, that's not to say he's the man for the job. Maybe we should ask him for a mutual termination for a smaller fee, see if he'll do the honourable thing for the fans - he seems honourable (if not much else). But we are going down this season, I'll bet any money on it (although Ron informs us we can't bet money on it now as no bookies are taking bets - that says a lot!!)

I think both Waddock's tactics and his signings need to be called into question. In terms of signings take our squad against Huddersfield:

Bull - great signing but a bit of a no brainer as a player he inherited at Aldershot
    Foster - rubbish
    Johnson - signed by Lambert
Basey - jury out on him as yet
    Tunnicliffe - rubbish
Bloomfield - signed by Tony Adams
Grant - very inconsistent, though one of the few ok against Huddersfield
Lewis - appears out of his depth at this level
McNamee - useful for 20 minutes a game but no more
Beavon - signed by Peter Taylor
    Trotta- good loan signing
Subs - McCoy - good prospect, Ainsworth - has been a good signing overall, Halls - poor, Harris - already at club through youth team, Strevens - disappointing

Others - Winfield- hit and miss, Donnelly - solid, Rendell - good league 2 but apparently surplus to requirements, Harding - poor and already sent out on loan, Benyon - no comment, Rowlands - good but constantly injured, Sandell - poor.

Whilst I imagine that he does not have a great budget but presumably neither do Bury, Stevenage, Tranmere, Oldham but they are making a decent fist of it!

Yes but don't forget that Bury, Tranmere, Stevenage or Oldham have a complete ****ing looney tunes chairman at the helm who's going to screw us for everything.

I don't think Waddock's signings have been great, by and large I agree with what you've said there (bar Basey who I think is good, Grant and Winfield who I believe because of their age are both good prospects for the future and Sandell, who I thought in League 2 was pretty good, let alone a great contributor to the 'For' column (something we've been distinctively lacking this season) - he never cut it in League 2 but I don't think you can therefore say he was a poor signing as to be fair his goals helped us go up.

I do, however, don't think they've been any better or worse than many other teams in the div with a similar playing budget - as I posted before, managers get a lot right and a lot wrong.

    His tactics - questionable.

I still stand by what I've always said - he might not be the right man for the job, but he'll be a very expensive wrong man for the job so unless he quits, we've got him for a while. I don't want us to sack him as we'll be even more in debt with next to no chance of going up.

I see Gary Smith has been touted as the next manager of Stevenage. To me, that says it all - he was a very well respected and popular Wycombe player who's done a great job across the pond and he's not even (I assume) been approached by anyone at this club. That to me smacks of an owner who couldn't care less about this club, it wouldn't surprise me if he let's it go into administration.

The position in the league, I am afraid, is the least we should be worrying about.
