    If it is, well I doubt there's been a more influential horse in the past 100 years.n

    Correct. A rare black and white photograph of the great stallion Nearco being led out of his specially built underground bomb shelter at the Beech House Stud. What would we have without him?

    there would have been no Northern Dancer, Sadlers Wells, Gallileo, Frankel etc etc etc
    Got to say I'm struggling to think of many - okay so he is no longer with us but we'd still have had Bustino

    <laugh> It always is, Cyc, I'm getting used to it!

    …………..you know, and to think Northern Dancer's papa, Nearctic (a son of Nearco) was pretty average as far as I can remember. Nearctic's only claim to fame was that he held the mile record at the Woodbine track way back then. Going by fading memory, so Bustino can box my ears if I'm wrong! :emoticon-0100-smile
