Oi. We don't want them either and you've got the only good one while we get Sunderland, Boro and Hull.
That Derby County team that won 1 game all season and finished on 11 points surely is the ****test team ever to grace the PL? Sunderland come a close second though, having previously held the lowest point total record twice and are becoming a bit of a yo-yo club.
The ****test team in PL history are Stoke, they're a ****ing toilet of a club. Never try to win anything, just sit there floating like a fat turd that won't flush. At least Sunderland and Newcastle bring the drama. Derby were tragically funny.
Didn't Stoke get to an FA Cup final a few years back? They lost to City. Stoke, as a City, is ****ing horrendous, second only to Hull in the ****hole stakes, but as a club they are okay. Never understood why people hate on Stoke, except that they are hard to beat at the Britannia.
How do you know this ****? What kind of sad act studies the wage bills of every club in English and Spanish football?
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/01/qpr-higher-wage-bill-than-atletico-madrid It was well documented at the time
In terms of money spent, wages vs quality of football: United under Moyes, LVG or Jose 16/17, pretty dire
I'd nominate us as the worst pound for pound under Redknapp but we still won at Stamford Bridge so can't have been that bad. Some of the early Prem teams like Swindon look awful in those PL review shows but in recent-ish years that Derby team was dire. Agree with Tel too about Stoke. Along with West Brom they bring nothing at all to the league year after year.
Ha ha. You Beat us under Rafa, his Chelsea tenure has been erased from history, scouse style. So it does not count
Not really. Went home and away from late 70s to mid 90s. Rafa arrived at a club well placed to challenge for title, Carling and World Club Championship. And blew all 3. Went from 3 points behind league leaders to 18 points off top in three months. He hardly took over from Geoff Hurst when we were in Div 2! I can't recall this second trophy he won for us. I was in AmDam for Europa final though
That desperately **** Derby side beat Saints in the Play Off semis the season before. How the **** did we lose to that side over 2 legs, they were ****ing atrocious?
Oh, we were - still better than them though, pissed all over them at St Marys and somehow lost that leg 1-2.
Yeah that sums it up, seeing as we narrowly avoided relegation the following season and did go do down a year later. So yes, we were ****ing ****
Well yeah, because having gambled everything on promotion, we then got rid of our manager and almost all our players. Then after Nigel Pearson worked miracles to keep us up, we got rid of him.
