Don't you remember them saying at the British GP, they asked all the drivers who they thought was the best ever and they said Yuji Ide. So I'm not sure why he's in this poll
I site I have used on a few occasions, mainly when the same type of thread was made on 606. I think the OP badly researched his list as it does not include the Australian Dave jones, who's highest finish was a pointless 9th place, not that bad you may say, until you consider his team-mate won the WDC that year.
I'm sure your point is valid, Julius. However, I think it only fair to point out an inaccuracy in quoting Mephistopheles as having said, "I am starting to think that this was not the forum I thought it to be as it more and more show to be many of the things i couldn't stand with 606. But maybe it is just me who need a break from all this." Even a bit of fun should be respectful to all contributors, although I am sure your error was not deliberate. Please read the following, which is a direct quote of an earlier post authored by Chrispa: [My bold type] As a footnote, I think it unfortunate that any member should feel like this; and it is unfortunate that such a misunderstanding should have precipitated it. Furthermore, I would have hoped that any Moderator might see how easily such a misunderstanding could occur and at least attempt to demonstrate some empathy to a valuable member, who has even apologised for his part in not seeing the intended joke soon enough.
I'm sure you're right Bhaji; that all is appeased. Moving swiftly on, I am left with a simple choice of vote which goes to none other than Al Pease!
@everyone I feel that I have to make an additional apology before I can put it behind me. Sorry for taking up more space of this thread with this, I will make it as short as I can. It was a 100% pure misunderstanding on my part. It have felt that in almost every topic the last few days, an increasing number of hatred towards several different drivers has been shown. I think I have made it pretty clear how much I dislike it. The frustration has grown and when I first saw this thread it was only the topic and the first post not saying much more, I couldn't hold it in and I lost it. But then the topic got updated with the poll and drivers mini bio/description it was clear to me that this thread was not at all meant to be what I first had thought. After spending the rest of the evening away and this morning at school, I feel pretty embarrassed and wish I could rewind and redo differently. I am terribly sorry! @meph I have always seen you as someone who debate in a fair and mature manner. It was wrong of me to make premature assumptions to this threads intent. I should have known better! I am sorry mate. @Jager Most of all I want to apologise to you. At the time I was too frustrated to be able to even suspect it was meant as a joke. You got the heat that had been built up for a few days. I wish I could change what I wrote, but since that is impossible, I want to formally withdraw what I wrote and directed towards you. I will do my very best to not let it happen again. Sincerely, please accept my humble apologies. @cosi Thank you for being who you are! Not sure what else to say. No need to reply to this, I just had to get it off my chest to be able to move on without feeling bad. Thank you for your time.
So back on topic, I spent some time to try and find that Swedish driver that was leading but stopped before the finish line to celebrate when number two past him to take the win. Unfortunately without any luck. It is a hilarious clip.. Does anyone have a clue to who it could have been? It was not formula one, but a formula looking car(wings etc.) I wrote earlier that i did't recall any of those drivers other than Badoer. But after reading the descriptions i remember almost everyone, omg how could I forget such classics. I feel so bad for poor Taki Inoue and his freak accidents. Hilarious stuff.
