The main issue is do people think Africans are stupid

Good percentage of Europe is catholic and most will use condoms and pay no heed to the church

Everyone assumes Africans are backwards and only listen to the church

    Racists

Id blame poor healthcare before the "skywizards apprentice"

    It isn't my morality.

I argued that the position of the church puts forward an irrefutable logic.....and it does.

Logical it may be. Practical it is not.

The policy is not wrong. The policy is absolutely correct. don't do it and you'll not get the bad AIDS. MTS has dealt with the point better than me. pointless me doing it again.

That's bullshit mate. People do do it so two things are obvious:

    1. the Catholic church is failing to get its message across

    2. the policy is therefore a failure.

    It isn't working.

    1. assuming all these people are Catholics, then yes, they are failing to get the message across adequately.
    2. People are going to "sin". That is in our nature. It doesn't make the message wrong.

why do people think that religions stance on condoms relates to the spread of AIDS?

The top 3 countries with the AIDS epidemic are South Africa, Nigeria and India.

yet the least affected are afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde

2 which outlaw sex before marriage/promiscuity and are muslim and the 3rd which is 95% RC so has the same stance

surely then abstinence is safer than condoms?

Come on rebel, you don't actually believe that surely?

Just because something works in theory does not mean it's going to work in practice. A point proved when you look at everyday experiences of the world. I'm sorry but you're either being very naive or simply being purposefully obstinate on the matter.

First of all lots of non Catholics in Europe don't use condoms and nothing the pope says will change that.

If they are so dependant on what the pope says then they would wait until marriage negating the need for condoms in the first place

Secondly.....has no one seen Monty Pythons Meaning of Life
