Totally incomparable though. Take out the ethnic minorities who for whatever reason are hugely underrepresented at football and those not from London and there's relatively little left. I'm not knocking those Newcastle/Sunderland fans that do go. I jus think it's a bit of a myth that it's some sort of hotbed of football. Two teams who relatively recently have had poor gates and no trophies between them for decades.

Erm.. All of them. Not a case of naming and shaming- live football is just still almost entirely made up of white English spectators. London is probably the most multicultural city in the world. Virtually all ethnic minorities are underrepresented at football (possibly Jews being the only exception I can think of). Blacks, Asians, Eastern Europeans etc. are still quite a rarity at football albeit slowly improving in some cases.
